And also cap the points then. The support squad can outflank to hopefully get into the side of enemy armour together with their ride. Veterans leave some room to experiment/get changed to fit the enemy. Apothecaries join the templars and the plasma squad. Since I face ordo reductor und iron fire iron warriors a lot I hope to weather some shooting ny putting my stuff in transports. I could always loose some armoured ceramite to give both contemptors twin lascannons. Currently they are for AA duty and for killing infantry. I'm a bit concerned about your lack of anti-air, though, but maybe you don't face flyers that much in your opponents armies? You say the contemptors are for AA duty, but why not make them Mortis? My biggest conundrum though is why you pick Primarch's Chosen as your Rite of War in your first two lists, while not taking Dorn? Otherwise, nice lists! Marshal Vespasian Posted April 4, 2020 Author Share Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) You are completely correct, I wanted two mortis contemptors. Just pressed the wrong buttons in battlescribe. I took primarchs chosen to have the terminators be troops and thus scoring. But I guess that only works if dorn is in the army? Also: with mortis contemptors being 10 points cheaper I could also give them lascannons but that costs me most of the anti infantry shooting I have. lokkorex Posted April 6, 2020 Share Posted April 6, 2020 twin-las on the mortis might be overkill, since you've got two of them, maybe go for twin kheres or autocannons, or squeese some points out for havoc launchers on them? it's just a pity theres no option for twin missile launchers like on the castraferrum mortis. I play mechanicum and iron warriors a lot and both tend not to bring tons of melta. Or take some equipment away from the apothecaries. I want the one wholl go with the templard to keep his artificer armour though. Dont want him to get picked off in duels since IF ICs habe to Challenge. For 3k I'll have to do pride to fill out my troops choices with vets and for 4k well its gonna be primarchs chosen then. Or i make the vets into normal tacticals and buy some more upgrades for the rest of the squads. Thanks you guys. I have changed the list around a bit to give the havoc launchers to the dreads.
