Gang Types

I'm in the process of creating a tabula for Necromunda, similar to the Tabula Astartes. The object is to list all of the gangs, types of gangs (e.g., by house/guild/precinct/whatever), and hired guns. The real goal there is to have a handy index of players' gangs. That way, players can go to the list of, say, Delaque gangs to take a look at all of the gangs that have been posted. This will also tie in to members posting articles about their Necromunda gangs and hired guns in the Liber Showcase.

The one area that I want to make sure is as complete as possible before I post things is the "GROUP" category. Basically, each house (e.g., Escher, Goliath), guild (e.g., Water, Corpse Grinder), precinct (I don't have any Enforcer precinct names off the top of my head, but you get the gist), etc. are listed in alphabetical order. I'll have plenty of placeholders so that I can add new groups in the proper alphabetical order. Here's what I have so far (drawing on what I have from 3rd edition, which isn't too much, as well as everything I have from 2nd edition, which is a lot):

Ash Waste Nomads

Cawdor

Corpse Grinder Cult

Delaque

Escher

Goliath

Orlock

Outlaws

Palatine Enforcers

Pit Slaves

Ratskins

Redemptionists

Scavvies

Spyrer

Van Saar

Venator

Custom (anything that members make up goes here)

What gang types am I missing? Note that I'm only looking for the types of gangs. There will be a separate listing for gangs by name (in alphabetical order) and hired guns/characters by name (also in alphabetical order). Please also provide your source. If it's a 2nd edition article, please list the article name (I have most in a binder somewhere - and I have the files for the few for which I failed to get the print copy).

Also, the working title for this is "Tabula Cohors" although I'm considering changing it to "Tabula Necromundus" (similar to the Warhammer Community "Apocrypha Necromundus" articles).

There are two that jump out at me that are missing.

Genestealer Cult & Chaos Cultists.

I'm not sure if you want the Guild Alliances and the Criminal Alliances?

Will this be another forum section or will it be pinned in the Necromunda section?

I ask because I've always thought that one of B&C's downfalls is the number of forum sections it has. I'm never sure if I'm supposed to post a picture up of my gang in the Necromunda section, in the Work In Progress section or in the Hall of honour section.

I'm only interested in Necromunda these days (thanks to the dog's dinner that is 8th edition  ), so this is the only section that I usually look at, but I have noticed that Necromunda stuff does appear in the Works In Progress section occasionally (then quickly disappears beneath the 40k stuff) , so any clarity would be greatly appreciated.

It will be a topic that is in the Necromunda forum, but not pinned. Instead, it will be linked from the Necromunda Resources topic.

As for your pictures, you can post WIP pictures in the WIP forum and finished pictures in the Hall of Honour. In addition/alternately, you are free to post images in the appropriate faction/sub-faction forum. So those WIP Necromunda pictures can be posted in both the WIP and Necromunda forums.

- Helot Chaos Cult gangs  (The Book of Ruin)

- Genestealer Cult gangs (The Book of Ruin)

- Chaos Corrupted House gangs (The Book of Ruin)

- Genestealer Infected House gangs (The Book of Ruin)

- Slave Ogryn gangs (Goliath : House of Chains book)

I've got the new hardbacks and the (same)rules from the Dark Uprising book. Helot chaos cults are just standard chaos cultists in Necromunda, same for Genestealer cults. 'Genesteler Infected' House gangs are more Brood Brothers, so you have access to Hybrid Juves in a campaign but lose access to House specific Brutes and exotic beasts. Chaos corrupted House gangs get access to Chaos Spawn in Campaigns. All the new gang types listed are Outlaw in a campaign that uses gang allegiance. GC are an interesting choice ; lots of 'extra arm' upgrades if you want older generation hybrids.

I think that a lot of things are going to break out as subsets - descriptors that are appended to a gang - rather than being distinct gang types.

For example, a House Goliath gang that is corrupted by Chaos would still be listed as a House Goliath gang, but would have a note that they are corrupted. Similarly, a House Escher gang that has been infected by Genestealer Cults would be listed as a House Escher gang, with a note about their infection. It would also be possible to have listings for all corrupted/infected gangs/houses/guilds/whatever.
