Good ideas, honestly I hadn't thought about stats or advantages really. I mainly made the pieces to fit in with the various Astra Militarum Regimentos that I have been creating themes. For the Cogger and Ishtar Patterns I think your idea is great with a 6+ Inv and 5+ Cover respectively. Now for the Grenade Launcher, it was meant to be both offensive and defensive as they are meant as assault troops. That being said, there is something to be said for making it mostly smoke grenades and letting them do their work that way. So below is how I list the Felinids armaments. Felinids are one of the two main abhuman species in the subsector the other I was thinking Ratlings from a jungle medicine planet but I hadn't fully planed it out. Really Ogyrns and Ratlings exist like usual just not in the numbers one would think. Felinids are my subsector's equivalent for quality bodyguard and assault troops at what the imperium thinks is cheap. Due to Imperial Lore like all abhumans they are looked down upon, but at least these guys have some support from their discovering rogue trader and some Mjorn Generators looking to cash in on Genetics technology that is lost.

Lion Pride Solar Priests wears priestly robes over flak armor carrying a Sun Stave in honor of their saviors the sun priests of Radiance. Using an Auto pistol and stave to encourage their fellow Felinid to greater heights of fervour in the name of the Imperium.

Tiger Pride Ambush Assault Squads wear Flak armor with a Grenade Discharger attached to their large frames, they go into battle with Twin Molecular Claw Gauntlets

Cheetah Pride Pursuit Squads wear specialized Flak weave Fatigues for pursuit of the prey for the Imperium carrying an Autopistol and Las-Spears

Mjorn Explorator Landing

A sudden burst of lighting erupts in the orbit of an unnamed planet in the Ishtar fringe of the Segmentum Ultima. The mighty prows of the Crusiers Bronze Expanse and Steel of Invention bursts out of the warp. Seconds later the rest of it's supporting fleet with the escorts in a spherical formation around the vulnerable transports burst out from the warp. An aging Archmagos of Mjorn would rise from his command chair his massive amount of bionics assisting the aging man along with a cane being held by what remains of his right arm. He addressees the bridge crew "We have arrived at the coordinates indicated by the rumors. If there is some truth to these words upon this lowly rock will be a vault of artifacts dating back to possibly even before the Dark age of technology and a map leading to an undamaged STC. By the Omnissiah's will we shall find this vault and crush anything that dares to stand our way on this most holy of quests!" He looks to one of the communications officers "Instruct the escorts to break formation and to begin mapping out the surface of the planet and instruct the transports to ready drop-ships to land on the surface and begin to send out survey teams."

"Yes lord!" The communications officer salutes and instructs the vox operators to send the orders to the ships. The transports of the fleet each ready a Devourer dropship for landing equipping them with long range scanning equipment and loading building supplies into them so permanent outposts can be made after the initial landing. The majority of their passengers are aspiring Tech priests that volunteered to take part in the expedition though some Skitarii Rangers and battle servitors are also being sent down to protect the outposts and the would be explorers during their expeditions into the alien wilds. The inquisitorial representative and his routine are also being sent down at their own request. The personnel being sent down have been assembled in the main bay of the transport for a quick briefing before launch.

The ship's captain would walk up to a raised platform in front of the assembled passengers. "Your dropship has been assigned to land near a large purple gash in the north west side of the planet. Orbital imaging has suggested this is some kind of sea though the reason to it's strange coloration is currently unknown." An image would be brought up on a large screen that was moved there for the briefing.

"To be precise the landing point will be here in the large plain that separates this sea from the planet's North Pole. Our main objective will be to track down the whereabouts of the vault containing the artifacts through any means necessary. If studying either the North Pole or the sea could lead to finding the vault you may do so and remember any and all Xenos must be catalogued but you have full authorization to exterminate anything if they pose a threat to the operation. Are there any questions before you are sent off?"

"Initial scans and orbital imaging have found several signs of large flora and fauna but have found no signs of advanced civilization either they are underground or life on this planet hasn't evolved to that point. As always caution is advised even the most simple of creatures can kill a man and if scans are correct this planet is in no short supply of beasts. Are there any other questions?"

The Inquisitor revealed his presence among the mass of Mechanicus acolytes having transferred over for this briefing. He quickly asked a questions about the survey teams and how they plan to be transported around when landed.

The captain was somewhat startled by the inquisitor revealing himself. He had been told the inquisitor would be sent down from his ship but he had net seen him until now. "Ye.. Yes lord the survey teams will be sent out upon landing and be given a modified Taurus that has had the weapon and ammo stores replaced with seats for passengers. The fleet will be on stand by and continually scan the planet and anything with in it's orbit like it's two moons."

A communications officer would walk up to the Captain and whisper something to him and run back to the bridge. "Very well I have just been informed that you must be sent down immediately. Please proceed to the boarding ramps leading to the top floor of the dropship the servitors will be loaded into the vehicle bay." With that the rows of assorted soldiers and tech priests move into the dropship which filled relatively quickly do to it being mostly filled with building materials and supplies rather than troops like it would normally be under other circumstances. Maneuvering thrusters lift the ship up and out of the bay and past an enormous air lock and into the void through the few view ports the planet took up the entirety of the view.

The intercom would spark to life "Prepare for atmospheric entry." The safety bars on the seats and the mag locks in the cargo bay would activate holding everything and everyone down. The view ports were quickly covered by a protective blast panel that came down from above it. From the outside it looked as if the ship was spewing flames from it's fins as the shear force of friction blackened the belly of the ship. The planet's atmosphere was thicker than expected this made maneuvering difficult for the lumbering ship as it seemingly plummeted towards the ground. Until the pilots activated it's thrusters slowing it down almost immediately if it weren't for the safety bars every single passenger would have been thrown from their seats.

Using their new means of control the pilots steered the beast of a dropship towards where the plains meet the purple sea. With a final blast from their forward facing maneuvering thrusters they where able to stop their forward momentum and ease the ship into a large clearing now devoid of wild life as they were scared off due to the amount of noise coming from the ship. With the push of a button the landing gear unfold from their shielded compartments and touch the alien red soil. Once it was confirmed the landing gear had made contact the pilots cut the engines and released the shaft bars and mag locks.

The intercom sparked up again "Landing successful you may get up and walk around, once comfortable head outside and group up with your assigned survey team or guard patrol. Before anyone asks yes the air is breathable readings show the atmosphere actually has a high oxygen percentage and gravity is slightly lower than Terran gravity but it is not really noticeable unless your bionics are overly sensitive. Good hunting and Omnissiah watch over you."

The crimson courier shuttle touched down in the immediate proximity of the makeshift landing field springing up almost organically around the dropships. The loading ramp descended with a muted hiss of hydraulics. A quartet of crimson robed Tech Guard marched down the ramp fist. Their brass skull masks denoting them as Martian Protectors, the noble Forge Guards of Mars. They swiftly proved the area secure to a satisfactory standard.

The whirring of servos heralded the descent of their illustrious charge. A Magos-Errant scuttled down the ramp on his brass-gilded stilt legs like a predatory arachnid. His optics scanned the noosphere in the area and locked on the to the signatures of the rest of the team. They were already boarding transports, to his immediate displeasure.

[Command: Follow]
The Magos-Errant spat in a hasty binaric burst. His guards followed their impatient master in earnest, barely managing to keep up with his fevered pace. The salamander transports were already starting up, their combustion engines revving up to speed.

All were full save the last transport in line, which had but one occupant. The fact that he would have to share a transport with a servant did not improve his mood. None the less, he scuttled inside and found a place to secure himself. He activated the mag-locks in his stilt-legs to secure him to the transport deck plates.

The Magos-Errant paid no mind, as it was barely above a servitor in sentience as it was. Instead he reached out through the noosphere to his intended contact. Opening a heavily encrypted channel, he extended a greeting to the Magos-Explorator.

[Acknowledgement: Greetings my Lady Magos. I am the Magos-Errant of this expedition. You no doubt received the data package from my superiors, and as such know why I am here. My Masters hold the Archmagos in high regard. He has done much to further our cause. Let us hope you live up to his expectations]
His cant was formal, but with an undercurrent of expected skepticism. Wright was untested. She no doubt understood that the Magos-Errant was as much a useful asset, as he was insurance.

Much hinged on their success. The leaders of the Xenarite Cult expected much from this expedition, if their sources were indeed correct about the supposed Vault. The presence of the Inquisition complicated this however. No doubt they were aware of the Magos-Errant' presence. The Ordo Machinum were ever vigilant in that regard.

No matter. They had no evidence to doubt his loyalties, but there would be suspicions. There always were.

If Adam Clarke or any of his Inquisitorial lackeys obstructed his objectives, they would be removed . . . Edited by TechCaptain

It's a good setup for further worldbuilding.

Nitpick:

The ship[']s captain would walk up to a raised platform in front of the assembled passengers.

You forgot the apostrophe used to indicate possession.

Thanks man. I have been busting out my stories some more and working on linking my various brews better. I still need to post up more things in a few other places.

Forge Temple Voltanius

Temple Voltanius is a base of operations of Biologis Research on Mjorn. The Forge Temple, facing north was located near a large cliff-side at the top of the mountain that hides the Xeno and Biologis Research within. The Xeno Biology Research is located east of the Forge Temple Silo. A thick wall surrounded the base protecting it from the outside with an additional wall along with a built-in checkpoint located at the entrance of the silo leading to the Xeno Biology Research below. A lift system was built across the mountain side all the way down to the base surrounding the mountain as well as an underground tram system to allow easy travel between. Another elevator and a ventilation system was also built inside the mountain, leading all the way to the large chamber containing the more research facilities.

One Research Lab is located on the second floor of the main building on top of the sphere at Central Hall. The lab was attached to another hall with a decontamination chamber. The lab housed a control panel that controlled the lab's machinery, an assembly station used to specifically put together the remains as well as another workstation and a control panel of the Assembly station, used to harness the information within. A large room with a view to the mountain top through the roof-top, the laboratory was mainly used for brain scans and other neurological experiments.

The Artifact Analysis room was a laboratory containing two floors, the upper mainly for maintenance along with an entrance to the crossover bridge and the downstairs contained a medium-sized research site. In the middle was a some kind of analysis tool possibly used to study any artifacts.

Forge Temple Grad

Grad was a significantly immense base. There are ten major areas of the base. They are the central weapons lab (which was further subdivided into three areas: The East Wing, the main hangar, and the West Wing), the southeast portion, the southwest portion (containing the base prison), the northeast area (containing a provisions storehouse), the northwest area, Grad sewers, Grad Runway South, Grad Runway, Grad Rail Bridge, and Grad Rail Bridge North. Aside from these main areas, there were also buildings located to the south of the area. In addition, there are large buildings to the south, east and west portions of the base that are for storage or communications purposes, due to radio towers being positioned in close proximity as well as at least one truck being parked in the south. Around the southeast perimeter are some water containers. Also, Forge Temple Grad contained at least two underground vaults. The research facility is protected by electrified fences, with attack dogs stationed near the entrance, with a wall further guarding the premises. Inside the research facility grounds are the facility itself, an armory, and a sealed off building. The research facility itself was approximately two stories tall, with the first floor and second floor containing a courtyard, libraries, store rooms (one of which to store provisions such as rations), and a restroom. The basement of the facility was also split into two: the western portion of the basement was primarily composed of the main office, various offices for the scientists, a guard room, and a break room; the eastern section of the basement housed a prison facility.

Forge Temple Xantle

The base of operations for the Xantle Forge Temple is nicknamed the "ant farm" by the some menials that work there. It is here some of the Magos of Mjorn manage resources, research projects, facilities and various other undertakings. Xantle is made up of numerous facilities that are responsible for managing and supplementing the base's important strategic and research functions. Features a rotating hologram of Mjorn. In this room they scan for incoming contacts through the satellite network and for astronomic readings. Laboratories allows Magos to research and In this room they peruse the research archives, detailing previously completed projects. Magos manage their Skitarii, including equipping and customizing the troops, managing their skills and creating new soldiers in the Barracks. There is also a Memorial Cogs and Actuators inscribed with the names of the fallen that power a huge machine that fills the chamber with light dedicated to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Dozens of additional facilities are housed in the base underneath the existing static locations. Built over steam vents thermal generators supply Power. Using a unique communications rely on a supra-dimensional wave which travels almost instantaneously. This relay allows the Mjorn Magos to trace the source of detected communications.

Forge Temple Pansgate

The facility formally known as Pansgate is the main center for all human explorator activities on Mjorn and contains the moon's main spaceport. It is in a constant state of siege from both the toxic environment and dangerous animals. The area is surrounded by a large, pentagonal security fence. Slightly more than a third of the site is taken up by the shuttle runway, VTOL pads, hangars, equipment storage areas, and garage structures. A similar area is occupied by the armor bay, vehicle storage sheds, and a light industrial plant mainly used for fabricating parts for mining equipment and ammunition for base defense. The refinery complex takes up the western side of the facility. The remainder of Pansgate is composed of administrative structures such as: a barracks for Skitarii staff, studio-style apartments for technicians and mine workers, an airtight condominium for senior staff, as well as research modules, Habitat Modules, and Ops Center structures.

Situated at the north end of the facility, is a five floored module contains most administrative centers, as well as the main entrance. This module contains the Operations Center, the nexus for communications and operational control for Explorators on Mjorn. Fortified tunnels connect the center to the communications array, with three large antennae and a space resonator for communications outside the local system, and five smaller antennae for accessing Mjorn-net communications and geolocation satellites. The ground floor is a detention facility, as well as a training area. An indoor firing range exists with numerous weapons on racks to each side. There are four different sections, with bullet holes visible on the back wall. The fourth floor is devoted to supplies, services and administration, while the fifth is devoted to laundry and the gym, as well as recreational and ablution facilities.

Designed for security and rapid force deployment, the Skitarii facilities are the core of Pansgate defenses. Housed inside its large, fortified hanger, its munitions stockpile is believed to be one of the largest concentrations of light to medium weaponry on Mjorn. The Skitarii facilities are protected by meter-thick walls of concrete and fused local rock. Its doors are made from reinforced, magnetically actuated titanium alloy. The roof is constructed of three-meter-thick reinforced concrete with a surface layer of glassified local rock for additional strength and protection. Its specifications are believed to be sufficient to resist physical assault by the largest known megafauna with a safety margin. Much of the Skitarii Facilities were originally designated for mining equipment storage, civilian vehicle parking and maintenance, and additional recreational facilities. Instead, the fabricators that were brought out for mining equipment maintenance were repurposed to make ammunition and razor wire; the mining machines themselves were used to dig defensive earthworks. Major weapon towers at each apex provide heavy munitions defense against surface and air intrusions by large hostile wildlife, while four smaller towers spaced 250 meters apart along each side handle intrusions by smaller life forms, including burrowing attacks. A cleared, thirty-meter-wide strip surrounds the base, which is regularly patrolled by automatic plant-clearing machinery that keeps any fauna at bay through regular administration of acidic mining byproducts.

Droch Fhiul

(Research Station)

Research stations provide a stable base of operations to Tech-priests, scribes, Adepts, Servitors, and the small armies sometimes necessary to support them in these often remote locations. Though Tech-priests and scholars are often the core of these stations, there are also guards, codifiers, and support staff who make sure that the station as a whole runs smoothly. Situated in the Asteroid field between Parva Rubrum and Blüde Seod, this research station answers to Forge World Mjorn. Droch Fhuil researches the stable Loci of the Sanguis Portus in the Damuterr system and provides navigation assistance to the ships traveling to the Nexus side that Tarakon system is located in. The Warp Portals are phenomenon that has baffled the minds of Mjorn for a very long time.

During an incursion on Droch Fhiul Research Station, where Artificer Erxandros was assigned to support a squad of his brothers from the Bloodmoon Hunters investigating the Prophecy of Blood, he was left as the only survivor bound to service of Ordo Machinum Inquisitor Adahm Klerixus.

Droch Fhiul has four giant planetary Defense Lasers, each protected in turn by hardened ceramite silos and Void Shield generators. The amount of firepower was further supported by 72 Autocannon and Lascannon interceptor emplacements, an overlapping network of defence bastions and Proteus-class bunkers.

The Imperial garrison deployed on Droch Fhiul is also formidable. In addition to the cybernetic Skitarii bodyguard of the outpost's Adeptus Mechanicus commander, it boasts 6 full wings of the Imperial Navy's Thunderbolt fighters, 3 Endeavour-class Light Cruisers, a squad of Bloodmoon Hunters including an Artificer leader, and an entire regiment of the Astra Militarum known as the 352nd Lunar Venatorii Dragoon Regiment.

Anshar and Kishar Station

(Research Station)

A small Orbital Research Station some distance away, monitors the Binary planets collecting data for Research to be sent to Mjorn. Due to the administration of the Research station the planet's belong to the Aquila while the station is Mechanicus. Occasional raids against the insectoid natives of the binary planet for the dangerous gases and components for Phospherex. This small research station has a Skitarii legion assigned to it.

Osmium Research and Dig Site Beta

The perimeter of the site is a sprawling, ancient fortress. However, without proper clearance, the depths of the Facility could not be reached. The central building itself housed various laboratories and research offices, scattered throughout a maze of hallways. However, the entire area is guarded by numerous automated turrets and flamethrowers that lock onto targets and will shoot until the target is dead or out of range. Most of these weapons have a manual override, which can deactivate the security within that room. Almost every room and hallway has one of these automated weapons installed. The metals and the other materials extracted from the mine are used to supply Mjorn, extracting many tons of metal ore, including osmium. The ore was then used for manufacturing firearms and armor for the millions of skitarii on the battlefield. The oldest surviving portion of the fort, the foundation beneath its main gate, has been dated to almost one thousand years ago.

Glacier Research and Dig Site Gamma

The facility was originally built to obtain baseline geological data, where elements from the glacier were to be collected, cataloged, stored, and studied in hopes that new kinds of natural resources could be discovered. Used by the Mjorn to covertly house and train some of their more divergent from standard STC designs. One of the Hangars is primarily used for training purposes. There is exercise equipment, a shooting range, a small obstacle course, and a climbing wall to let Mjorn test subjects to test out their augmentations. There is also a small medical bay between the shooting range and climbing wall. The main part of the headquarters is an underground facility, an elevator operated by a hidden card reader is used to access the underground facility.

Skitarii Training and Dig Site Theta

Inside a mountain, two thousand meters below the Highland Mountains. Protected by massive amounts of granite, reinforced plasteel, plates of Titanium, and EMP-hardened metal, the base's interior consisted of a long and tall main atrium, with smaller rooms, walkways and staircases on both sides of the structure. The atrium had a ceiling of glass running along its length, which also extended down the wall on the other end of the atrium. The base also has several maintenance hallways for the facility's engineers. It featured a large obstacle course, with a run over ten acres of jagged gravel, where the trainees had to crawl in the mud under razor wire with bullets flying inches over their heads. Finally there was a course which consisted of a forest of ten meter high poles placed at random intervals, usually with booby traps strung on, to teach the importance of moving slowly and keeping one's eyes open. The main entrance is located inside a large cavern in the shadow of a cliff, thereby obscuring the entrance from the casual observer. The cavern is illuminated by florescent lights and reinforced by steel I-beams on the walls and ceiling.

Dig Site Lima

Dig Site Lima is an enormous installation centered around a very large central shaft comprised of two main sectors and one smaller sector, each with four sub-sections. The perimeter of the shaft houses automated monorails and the control station that directs electricity through the facility and controls the air re-circulation system. To descend into the facility proper, two rail carts can be utilized, spiraling downwards to the four main floors of the shaft. The command facility has rows of computer banks with Vox Casters, connected to systems that allow for command and control of outside military forces or facilities. Deepest part of the facility, lies beneath the main shaft, this is where the nuclear reactor and main generators lie, along with the control facilities necessary to maintain them.

The Forge World Erendan: The primary Forge World in the Levan Sub-Sector and one of the largest in the Mandavi Sector. After a series of events in the 180s.M41 trade and commerce with this orthodox world would increase dramatically and continue to increase steadily over the reminder of the millennium.

Forge World Incendius Lux: Mjorn was founded from dissidents of Lux and ever since has maintained a complex relationship with this Forge World. Many of the encounters can be deemed somewhat hostile but at other times treated like beloved siblings.

Forge World Actium: Mjorn's relationship with Actium is at best distant but little trade does make it across the Imperium occasionally, and the products recieved from this far flung Forge World are held in high esteem due to the quality. Further, as to not ashame themselves Mjorn endeavors to return the favor when it can with high quality products of it's own.

Forge World Stygies VIII - It's infamous reputation for continued pursuit of forbidden xenos technology has been an inspiration to the Xenarites of Mjorn. It's distance from each other makes trade very little but contact is maintained somewhat if strained.

Forge World Thule - A Xenarite leaning Forge World from the Caligari Sector has unusual ties to Mjorn through communication and trade of specific data regarding not widely accepted experiments.

Forge World Tvastar - Another distant Forge World through little trade and communication makes it through. The quality of projectile equipment from this distant Forge World has made several Techpriests think on how they can improve their own production lines and quality.

As mentioned on my Knight House. Story being worked out from a Battle Report.

The Idea will be to make this Tactical Loss into a strategic stalemate in my story and to start embellishing what happened. Shaping this into an epic showdown. Ideas and advice welcome.

Blüde Seod Mining Combine - Located within the same system and very closely placed to Forge World Mjorn, the combine has many representatives of the Mechanicus visit and assist them to make sure timely shipments are always available. This ancient relationship is complex and arcane to outside observers since most would not understand the differences between the two groups.

Sleá Fola Mining Cartel and Shipyards - A Mining Cartel with developed shipping lanes that also supplies the ever growing needs for materials Mjorn has to maintain the various war efforts as well as their civil supplies. Nominally independent, the Mining Cartel maintain a balance between dependence and subservience to the Mechanicus Cult.

Arali Trade Guilds - The Trade Guilds of Arali are varied and little more than criminal enterprises that masquerade as legitimate. However Mjorn actually maintains great deal of close relations to the Guilds to gain goods otherwise unobtainable through cleaner means. This also allows the Techpriests of Mjorn to maintain a degree of deniability in certain arenas.

Inanis Mining Clans - The Inanis Mining Clans provide some of the rarest materials available from the Ishtar Subsector with their innovative endeavors, and many a Techpriest would like a closer look at some of these deviations from standard patterns while others want to denounce them for heresy. This tenous relationship is maintained as a complex web of need and distance on both sides.
