Ultra Fists DIY chapter

Hi all!

I’m starting to work on a new project about IF successor chapter. Currently waiting for first box delivery, so wanted to discuss fluff possibilities.

The chapter is called Ultima Fists both because it is stationed in Ultima Segmentum and because it was founded during Ultima Founding (so fields only Primaris SMs)

Ultima Fists guards an important (yet unnamed) sector (or sub-sector?) housing a major starfort on route between Macragge and Terra. The sector also contains at least one hive world with several agri planets as well as AM forgeworld. Recently a previously unexplored part of the sector has been revealed sparkling rogue traders activity and Sisters of Battle crusade. (the idea of this sector is to house my other armies)

The colour scheme is something similar to Praetors of Orpheus - white armour with blue parts. Chapter symbol is fist similar to IF and CF. The details on company and squad marking are not yet fixed.

Considering chapter organization. I really don’t like the majority of phobos armoured guys (except for eliminators), so most probably I will use cool part of rievers, incursors and infiltrators to kitbash with intercessors and hellblasters. The army will be built as a company task force with attcahed veterans from the 1st and maybe some guys from reserve companies. The idea behind is to use character models (incl. captains) as lieutenants commanding forces from other companies.

Also not sure on inceptors and suppressors, probably will wait for another primaris wave - hopefully we’ll get assault primarisomarines?

Thanks for reading, hope for comments and new ideas!

Its a interssting Idea.

Some Questions:

Whats the Relation betwenn the Rouge Traders and Sister of Battle and your guys?

Did the Station function as Moanestery too? Maybe Go with a abboned one, which they Claim.

The Sector Sound good. Self Sufficent too.

Did your Guys recruit solely from the Hives or from the other too?

As Position, maybe move towards the Border. Sound for me better, when they Guard the Solar Sector, Like there Progendiors.

Sounds very promising:thumbsup:

I like gripschi's idea about concentrating on guarding the borders. Very much in keeping with the IF theme.

Your idea about kit-bashing the armor sounds very cool and very much in keeping with the design and purpose of the MkX. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Your army build concept sounds solid too. Good luck and have fun:yes:

Just noted the wrong topic name - it should be Ultima Fists! like in the text

Given there is a lot of marines from 30k in Ultima founded chapters, I think they are not very happy with Ecclesearchy and stuff. On Rogue Traders - I don't know, probably neutral?

This Starfort is imagined as a major local base of Navy, thus not belonging to chapter. I think the chapter itself is fleet-based and collecting recruits equally from all planets of the sector. Combination of guys from hive planet and feral ones could be interesting to explore.

Regarding the Sector position - it is really very close to Ultramar, nearly bordering it and Tau empire and the Rift, thus there is exposure to everything interesting. It seems like Eastern Fringe border is quite suitable for IF successors?

Eastern Fringe is fine too. A Bastion there would have its benefits.

Its after all a huge part of the Segmentum to settle down.

But then you are Not anywhere Like your First Idea near Terra.

Your recruitment Sound fine. It should Provide Aggressive and Hardned Aspirants for your Guys.

Your Organisation is okay, maybe flash it a bit more Out.

Consider which Type of Equipment you want, more Thunderhawks or Bikes as Example.

The Rouge Traders could function to gain Intel and Supplies.
