As I am getting back into the game after selling off Everything. I am without bits!!! I do not have a 3D printer....yet. I just can’t paint my army not looking battle hardened sons of Russ enough. I’ve seen some really cool bits on a few pics,

So where do I get them!!!!!!????

(If this topic is somewhere else, sorry.)

PopGoesTheMonkey on Shapeways has some Space Wolves bits (including the Great Companies that aren't the Blackmanes).

Kromlech has a line of Not!Space Wolf stuff for their "Legionnaires" (not!Space Marine) sets. Sons of Thor is the name for that.

Forge World (whenever they re-open) has some nice upgrade packs for Wolves as well.

I have had great luck with pop goes the monkey on most stuff but the hand gripping the combi weapons is horrendous. I clip it off and use a normal one.

But your best bet is to buy 1 or 2 of the Start collecting Space Wolves boxes just not the primaris version.

Basically every single bit in that box has space wolf stuff on it. You also get some decals. It has 2 thunder hammers, 3 power fists, 3 storm bolters and 5 storm shields in one box. There's enough bits to easily kitbash 10-15 primaris marines. The upgrade kits just give you 2 heads, 3 aggressor shoulder pads and 10 shoulder pads...TRASH!

The og marine box set has weapons to make 10 grey hunters or 10 blood claws. Which goes into my next suggestion...get a start collecting death watch box. You get tons of weapons. Most of the deathwatch arms and weapons are close enough in scale to use on primaris marines no problem. You get 4 heavy thunder hammers, 4 storm shields and 2 combi weapons.

1 each of those boxes you can easily make 20 marines, 2 heros and the thunderwolf riders look legit Wolfy and still have extra bits to throw on some primaris marines. What I do to stretch out the most is on the armor that doesn't have space wolf stuff modeled to it...i use the sheathed blades, heads, backpacks and weapons...vice versa for the others.

does anyone know where I can get combi-plasma guns for terminators? I couldn't see them on PGTM

I don't want to hijack this thread with my terminator project so I put all the details here

http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363303-saga-of-the-terminator-trials/

It is for all Brothers (and sisters)!! No worries about specific bits I might need those too... or someone else.

As for me I am running all primaris currently with wulfen and TWC.

I have my half of the new box with Ragnar and the box of shadow spear. So that is why I need bits again. Does the old scale with the new? (Primaris vs. reg marines) I have a little bit of wulfen parts left. But not enough.

Legs and torsos...no they don't. But backpacks(need to cut the peg off the primaris), the weapons and all the space wolf Bling works fine. Deathwatch arms are probably the closest in scale to primaris. Their forearms with the readouts and cables mask the slightly shorter length.

These are some guys I'm building to finally use all my left overs. Once I fill gaps and go over them all again for some battle damage I will do some pelts on some shoulders

has anyone bought these? https://www.shapeways.com/product/5NWEBY3JN/10x-plasfire-bc1?optionId=62969764&li=shops

Is there any disproportion on hand sizes between these and terminators?

I answered this in my terminator saga thread

But now that I have Salty Beard's permission I will repeat here

I use shapeways combi plasma for my regular marines. I love the look of the scope and clip

gallery_49686_16298_28534.jpg

However...the terminator arm is NOT the same

The armor has a cuff that bumps against the rear ridge design of most guns

I went searching far and wide and this was the best solution I could find

Nothing on shapeways fit what I needed

I stumbled across an ebay seller in russia who does custom print jobs. He had terminator weapons for chaos listed that I felt might work. After some messaging back and forth he understood what I was looking for and showed me this blue print.

It hasn't arrived in the mail yet so I can't tell if it will work.

I have my fingers crossed

Now I need to chop a bunch of SW terminator arms at the wrist to connect.

I decided I would take an easier path and look for terminator arms that are already cut at the wrist.

I found these right arm grey knight bits for less than $2 per 5 arms. Snatched up 20 of them.

Also with the plethora of storm bolters in the terminator kit you can always convert combiplasmas with plasma pistols. That's what we did back before 3d printing

Please share more on this!

Any guides or examples?

Kit bashing and cut to fit techniques can be hard sometimes but can be really rewarding. I don't have any tutorials on my stuff but heres a page I seen

My ebay bits arrived. Took 2+ months from Russia to the US...but that isn't the sellers fault.

I am happy with the product and would recommend the seller.

The bit sits flush with the wrist and is exactly what I was looking for
