World of Warships Inspired by Warhammer 40k

I didnt see this anywhere else yet and hope this is the right place to post this. Announced recently on facebook, the Warhammer 40k universe is colliding with World of Warships. A while back we saw something similar happen World of Tanks. I have played both titles and prefer the 'ships' version a tad more. The gameplay and the naval warfare are more up my alley so to speak than the faster paced 'tanks' version, but both have their own unique experience.

quoted from facebook:

Will you fight for the Emperor, or will you bring more Blood for the Blood God?

World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends are bringing the grim darkness of Warhammer 40,000 to the games!

The update will feature new in-game stuff for naval battles: themed ship skins, commanders, camouflages and more; all based on the popular 40K universe.

Pre-sale that includes flags and patches will start from May 27 for World of Warships on PC, full-blown content will be available for purchase in both titles later in June.

Stay tuned for more details to be announced.

Curious to see how it all plays out. I know they've done cosmetic events in the past with space and holiday themes.

Skins? This is weak.

They could have made an event map that looks like outer space, and modelled a couple of voidships to be used there. Game mechanics can stay, so it's really just a visual change, not too hard to make. (not harder than releasing any other new map and new ship, at least)

Uhhh.... They did that already for April Fools:

Wargaming.net's collaborations with Games Workshop.... Err, collaboration, was at most: A special vehicle and unique skin.

The last one was for World of Tanks, the KV-2 "Valhallan Ragnarok" and a special paintjob for one of the French tanks.

Don't forget the in the World of Tanks Blitz they put in both the predator and the vindicator.... as premium tanks....

I completely World of Tanks Blitz even exists

If there's one for WoWS, then yeah. We'll likely see some 40k ships in it... Though, they'll be sailing instead of flying
