So sword-and-board 'standard' Primaris? No issues here, just more stuff to never get round to buying and painting despite intending to!

Gravis are standard Primaris. Remember the armour is adaptable, Gravis, Tacticus and Phobos all share the same essential components/frame.

I think these guys are probably less standard than Gravis. Their armour is much more ornate than anything bar Priamaris characters, which points to an elite, probably Veteran unit. And as noted in another thread, they have huge pistol holsters which suggests Absolver bolt pistols, something that so far has only been issued to Chaplains and Apothecaries, not line troops.

Tacticus are "standard" Primaris, unless I'm much mistaken.

Glad to see that Primaris finally get some CQC units. Long overdue.

It's odd that the new models have assault markings, but are squad number 4. Should be 7 or 8 for assault markings in the old lore. So it seems that the old company organisation has been abandoned now.

Assault-pose Primaris are nice - nothing incredible, but you wouldn't expect them to be.
The bikes I really quite like. Suitably beefy looking (always thought the old ones looked potentially a bit small when you consider what they're carrying), but still with massive tyres and zero ground clearance.
Primaris Chaplain is also solid, I think. Not convinced on the shin armour, and would prefer another weapon rather than an hour glass, but we'll see. The executioner sword looks good too - rather fitting from a Dark Angels perspective
edit; is he wearing a covid mask?!
As for the Grey Knight-esque things, I'm not actually sure what they're supposed to be yet. Is that combat-Gravis? If so I'm not sure how I would feel about them 'replacing' terminators, but again, we'll see.
I'm suitably excited to see where this goes. =]

It's Tacticus armour, not Gravis.

They look like have Gravis shoulder pads though, and maybe 40mm bases. Perhaps they're a partial redesign of Gravis armour, removing the chunky abdominal plates (as they did with Garadon).

Sadly i think that is inevitable.

It was also really painful when they pumped up the guy to "reveal" the new edition and it fell flat because he didnt hear them

NM - my "clarification" was in reference to the Assault Intercessors. The poster above was talking about the swords n shields models.

I disagree. With Primaris, I don't feel like the armour type dictates what is standard or not. For example, there's line units wearing phobos and specialist Tacticus units (Hellblasters).

If anything, I'd lean towards wargear, battlefield specilisation and veterancy signifying non-standard.

It's all a bit subjective though.

They only have a Gravis pad on the left side, partially compensating for not having a shield. Also in keeping with how the Phobos units have an up-armored left arm.

Good catch! I didnt notice that at first.

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

That style of shoulder pads exists on non-Primaris Marines, who are most certainly not gravis. Gravis has up-armoured legs, platform boots*, extra chest plating an an armoured hood, none of which those models have. They're Tacticus.

* terrible description, but I can't think of a better one.

I think you're getting mixed up. Spaced Hulk is talking about the "Grey Knight" ie sword and shield Marines. They have the ridged pads on both sides.

The single ridged pad is the assault Intercessors. If you look carefully, they also have up armoured vambraces on the same side as the ridged soulder pad,

That name, tho... "Assault Intercessors?" I guess Primaris Inyerfacers just didn't roll of the tongue right...

And does this mean that Hellblasters show up for work every day worried if this is going to be the day the memo comes down from on-high officially rebranding them as "Devastator Intercessors?"

Oh, my bad - they were talking about the Assault Intercessors on the stream at the time, so I assumed that was the model he was referring to. But he WAS clearly talking about the shield blokes.

Chainswords might be rolled into the Intercessor datasheet

Either way I suggest we call them "Assaultercessors"
