Coming Back to the Fang

Good Day Brother,

 

Im an old wolf that have been of for a year from the Fang. I must have miss a lot during my absent. How goes my fellow brother. How does your match against those xenos & traitor. Have the wolves maintained their reputation as the Emperor executioner. How are the primaris effecting our games. Whats the meta for the wolves now. I came back after Ragnar return & im looking forward to field him again. The new model that is. :)

 

Tips & advice would be great to help me get back to the field with my Ragnar's Company. What unit is good & what is not anymore. With the Primaris it seem games are different now with all tactic and doctrine.

Ragnar is a great model, really nice on the charge. With the new edition we're waiting for the rules of the game and the new models to be unveiled so we can see how they work with our rules. Codex and Saga of the Beast are handy, they're not invalidated yet. The Wolves are a pretty good army , the Vlka Fenryka get tools that can make them deadly to any foe.

Welcome back. As Badger said, with 9th around the corner and some new models at our disposal, we are waiting to see. This is a good resource, and one that I just now realized has been updated to reflect the current possibilities on the horizon. 

There are plenty of good threads here in the Fang about plenty of other options for us. A lot of good points made by many of our brethren who are much smarter than I, so take a look and see what's working for everyone.

Great to be back. Have any of you played a full list with primaris without our old unit like long Fang. How does it fair. Do any of you have a 1800pts list of pure primaris.

I’ve done some limited play testing lately with lists that are 95% Primaris. Only non-Primaris units have been: Bjorn the Fell-handed, and either Njal in Terminator Armour, or a Wolf Priest with a Jump Pack.

 

I went with these because a) I love Bjorn, and b some of the Firstborn character options are still better.

 

Otherwise, I love an almost pure Primaris list, and it looks like they’ll only get better, with new units like Assault Intercessors and Bladeguard coming, among others.

I can't vouch for this as I haven't tried it yet, however I am understanding that a list composed of 4 or 5 Impulsors is very good for space wolves along with thunder hammer or power fist intercessors.

I have everything I need for the list aside from 4 impulsors I plan to buy before 9th is released.

 

 

Wow 4 impulsor.. none for me. I didnt buy any of the new vehicle. I have just to much Vehicle already. :)  I will stick to LR i guess. Hope GW adjust the current vehicle rule to transport primaris. Love the new bikes.
