Pinkmarine's 4th company

Recommended Posts

After playing other games for some time I got some sprues of intercessors and reivers cheap off a comrade, and with 9th incoming, I've decided to get back inte the game. So ... I've decided to build a 4th company army, as I'm generally an infantry fan  (but possibly with some extras from other companies, eg the close combat knife-wielding reivers will be from 8th). Will post here just to keep motivated, so say nice things please ;)

Anyway, here's the test model I painted up. More to come, waiting for a bunch of beaky helmets to arrive from Kromlech though ...

Really nice looking army you've already got! I'm really impressed by the Eliminators camo cloaks! :thumbsup: What units are you doing next?

Thanks! In fact the camo cloaks didn't turn out the way I wanted them at all, so I'll try to get my revenge later on :smile.:

On the table right now is, in roughly this order:

* 5 Intercessors with auto bolters, sgt w chainsword

* 3 Eradicators w melta

* 1 Terminator chaplain (in my lore's he's the founder of the Storm coots)

* 1 Lieutenant in phobos

* 1 Librarian in phobos

* 1 Venerable Dreadnought

* 10 Infiltrators

* 3 more Eradictors, I'll try to convert the meltas to heavy melta

* 3 Eliminators

... and then I'm not so sure. I bought the first few models rather randomly, and then got a Vanguard box. And I just love the look of the Terminator Chaplain. I've yet to get a clue on how to play them, but my current idea is to have Eliminators and Eradicators in the back, sniping characters, and then try to go for early board control with Intercessors (assault and "normal") and deepstriking Infiltrators. What I'd really wish for was Reivers to get ObSec, I love the models and their backstabbing feel.

I would run a Terminator Chaplain as a Master of Sanctity with Wise Orator + Rites of War/any offensive -warlord traits and Deep strike him in with some scary close combat threat (Bladeguard Veterans/Vanguard Veterans/Terminators/Assault Centurions etc.). I don't think you can go wrong this :) With Wise Orator he can get the Canticle of Hate -litany off 100% with 1cp (Commanding Oratory) to buff charges and maybe use Raven's Blade -stratagem for Re-rolling charges against an enemy unit.

I've been wanting to get sth like this to work but the Master of Sanctitiy + Wise Orator wasn't on my radar. Very elegant! Thanks!
