Imbed Image?

I usually upload images to my gallery, then insert them into my posts with the "My Media" button.

There are probably other ways, but that's how I do it. It will appear as a link in the editor, but once you hit post the image will be there.

That won't work. It's just <img=(URL)>, replacing the < > with [ ] and (URL) with the location of your image (not the URL of the page it's on).

It does work though. Screenshot is from a PM when I explained someone else how to do it and embedded the same way as shown in the screenshot.

It gets automatically converted into your format but that shouldn't matter for the user.

The times where the before/after format is converted are accidents. There are lots of times where the before/after format breaks down and doesn't show the image, showing the improper BBCode instead. The format I gave is the one that is in the system and which is sure to work.

A test:

This is as Panzer put it in:

And this is using the B&C image button:

Panzers way is a standard BBCode, where you can modify the image with parameters like size and metatags and a clickable url. The B&C button is an easy way to just put an image in your post. It might be this extra information that breaks the image BBCode.

Yeah the button is the safest way, but unfortunately not available via mobile. Also to my excuse, I never tried it with a gif. :P

It works fine on the standard skin, not the mobile version though...

I don't have any of the buttons on the "Full Version" on mobile: I've been using the same version as Panzer recently, but for a long time I'll admit I've refrained from uploading any pictures at all here because it's quite a hastle

I've got it now lol. Thank you everyone.

For closure sake I'm using this method via a bit of simple memorization:
