I knew that helmet seemed familiar when I saw it on reddit.

Top tier work as always on your part. Are you using the space marines heroes kits? I was thinking of making huskarls out of them.

i want to use the captain for the 2nd sarge but i cant find him for sensible money.

This is :cussing awesome love these guys!

Currently thinking about a termie command squad for a termie praetor.

The volkites are they the stl from thingiverse?

They are, the file is called "heavy lightening gun" iirc. They took a while to get to print and i shrunk them down 10% to scale better.

my local FLGS didnt have any termies bar the assault termies and they dont have the best arms for adding volkites to. ive been thinking of getting some blood angel termies to tr but i fear they may have too much ornimentation (and their heads are preposed)

Its been a few months since i updated this thread, so here are some more bits, so far i have added.

a second volkite terminator squad with a T-Hammer sargent and a reaper autocannon (squad is still missing 2 volkites so its not "finished")

a third terminator squad with lightning claws and an Illastrus assault cannon.

a tactical squad of troopers partaking in the mkVII trials fielding an eclectic mix of armour marks.

two casterferrum dreads

a centurion with jump pack.

so far its 1800pts on the dot, i may add 2 predators to bring it up to 2k

Box dreads look really great, need to do some myself at some point.

Saw some plain indomitus terminator pads on shapeways, might get some of those as doing some indomitus for HH is always cool.

I really like seeing the plastic kits from 40k that fit in repurposed for HH, things like normal land speeders, indomitus terminators, box dreadnoughts, etc.

that was one of the goals of this army, use mostly GW minis and unpopular gaming choices.

Thinking of doing some indomitus armor deathwing companions and a praetor or some other consuls based on that. Could end up a bit silly, but I think it could be fun.

Do you have any normal land speeders yet, or is that something you plan on adding at some point?

Probably not for this army as it was planned as a ZM force but if you check out my 228th sons of Horus thread in the hall of honour you'll see the other side of this conflict which does have some mars pattern speedy Bois.

REALLY inspiring work, great scheme, great conversion work. I'm going to have to get myself some box dreads and indomitus terminators!

il be adding another dread and at least 2 more squads of termies, one hammer and shields and one command squad.

So much for the “small zone mortalis force”!!

Where is the praetor model from (the first image in this thread). If you don’t mind me asking. It looks great and I’d love to steal your idea ;)

Man I really enjoy that late heresy veteran squad. Is that a normal tactical squad plus some heresy bits? I want to add another 20 tacticals at some point and was thinking either 1 mk iii and 1 mk iv or something more modern and a mk ii squad

it started out as some crew for rapiers (the three mk7 guys) and i wanted them to be mk7 but clearly heresy era so they got umbra bolters and the heads from the old breacher 40k kit. and some templar bits. Then i got told rapier crews dont have bolters so i decided to just fill out the squad with spare parts so its lots of mk3 and 4 bits with templar upgrades and a 3d printed mk5 head.
