3000pt Ravenwing Protocol

What I've posted is only 2750pt, and I was thinking about giving the Praetor a command squad or running a Fire Raptor. I haven't quite decided yet and would like some feedback. Another thing I am unsure on is if this list is too spammy. I really like the idea of a Ravenwing army but wasn't entirely sure how to diversify it. Feedback on if this list is fine or if I should change some things up would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings,

I'm not well versed in Dark Angels Tactics but I'll try to provide some input.

First of all, Fire Raptor all the way!

Now, I don't rhink that this list is too spammy, though it seems that way. After all 'the spam' is just 15 bikers that, when put in 2-3 squads, would seem very much in order.

But here I start to have a problem. How much do those Outriders cost? My quick approximation is around 200pts... for 3 men. It's incredibly expensive, and in my humble opinion way to expensive to make its points back. Some squad might get lucky but I don't believe that 5 squads are necessary as most of them will fail to earn their points back.

Now, you slapped Warblade and Melta and Rad Nades on every living thing you could. Flexible but oh so expensive. And I for one don't think you should be charging with those guys, unless to finish of some stragglers. Maybe you want to stack the Rad effect but it's still very steep price for only dubious result.

Let's make a hypothetical duel. Your Outrider sergeant charges into (my) normal sarge. You got Rad Nades, higher toughness, charge bonus and even Stasis shell if you want. My got nothing, no bonuses, not even a legion rule. Just his trusty Axe and standard Artificer Armour.

With 4 atttacks hitting on 3 wounding on 2 on higher I you deal 0 37 wound.

And if enemy survives then he deals you twice as much hurt with 0.75 wound.

To really use Rad Nades you need to be powerful hitters. 3 guys with 1 sword just aren't. I would suggest this. Take a few of those smaller squad but maybe drop most of the upgrades, just stick to shooting. Same goes for Sky slayers. Then merge 2-3 into one powerful melee squad. Give them extra power weapons, maybe drop plasmas as it will net you so many points for additional bikers. And of course Rad grenades are auto-include for them. And then you could stick the chaplain here.

So in general I'd save a ton of points by not going overboard with sarges. You don't even have to pay those extra points for them on the small, 3 member squads. It's better to make some dedicated melee fighters and keep the rest cheaper. You don't have any melee big boys right now. I'd consider either large melee bike squads or maybe some Legion specific squad in a dreadclaw.

Praetor already has 2+ save and therefore one could consider a bike instead of a jetbike, it frees 20 pts.

Heavy Bolter doesn't complement Missile Lauchner (unless you fire Frag) on Javelins but in general I'd swap them for Meltas and/or add cheaply priced HKMissiles.

Oh and lastly I'm surprised to see no Stasis shell whatsoever.
