While I once lead great raids from these halls, challenging both Angel and Daemon, forces have kept me from the Hearth-Hall for too long. Trials from the depths of Hel and beyond have been battled, and through constant vigilance, contained. Now I return to see many warriors of the Rout, both new and old, getting ready for the battles to come. I salute each of you. For instance, the second round of combat or if we get tagged but not charged. In addition, it still gives the +1 LD and 4+ fight/fire auras which can be super useful given each model matters more with cost and LD can help larger units that run around the board. Valerian Posted August 1, 2020 Share Posted August 1, 2020 Those other Ancient abilities still do something, but his main draw is the +1 to Hit aura. When you remove that, because we have it innately for the first round of combat, he isn’t worth the cost. He doesn’t even come with a melee weapon. For the 85 points, you can take a Judiciar or a Wolf Priest, or even a Battle Leader; any/all of these are going to do more for Space Wolves than an Ancient with an Ld bubble and a 50% chance to let a nearby model get a single free attack when it dies. Thank you Bjorn, thoses poses are a pain in the but for me sometimes. I think i've glued my fingers to models more often than I'd like to admit. yep, a Nid head. Im not sure how I cam across it, i think it was included on a bitz trade I did ages ago. Kosarro is standing on a stone, which i didnt wanna use. so the head is a good alternative. Bryan Blaire Posted August 14, 2020 Share Posted August 14, 2020 JKC, your Primaris went all magpie on you the last time they were on the battlefield with those pesky Chaos wanna-be's and robbed some of them poor Dark Angels of their swirly garments... and now they are wearing them!. :O (I know, the joke's going to get old because I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that thinks it's funny, but seriously, DA cosplays abound!) I like the adjustments you made to them - did that Battle Leader cut Ulrik off at the mid-section and steal his pantaloons!? Really like how he came together! I'll echo Lord Blackwood though - wouldn't "invest" in a relic right now as far as painting since we don't know what will stay and what will go when the Wolves shift to the Supplement set-up. The news kinda changes a lot of what I had planned. @BB: I got an Ulrik ages ago that I made into a 30k Wolf Priest by putting his upper torso on a pair of mk3 legs.
