Hello, good folks!

There's not much to say about me in terms of 40k.

I play Space Marines, have been left a tad bummed ever since Primaris became a thing and while there's definitely 2000pts of them in my future, I'm looking at different armies right now.

I'm not a tournament player (yet), but I like to try and build my lists so that I give anyone who is a good game. Also I do like to win once in a while.

I'm looking forward to discussions with like-minded players and hope to be of some help myself sometimes.

Well, with the changes to Flyers in 9th just when Dragons are coming back, it seemed like a good time to let somebody else take over

 

I'm basically drawn to anything that doesn't wear Power Armor right now.

I was gonna get into T'au but feel like this might be a bad time to start a drastically different army. Still, I could paint up a Battlesuit faster than 200pts of some other factions.

AdMech has also piqued my interest, however a test Ranger I tried to do up in a more turn of the century style with earth tones, drab and orange lights looked... just off and not really fitting at all. Might be because their weapons are less Great War and more Red Coat after all 

But none of the codex schemes held my interest while painting them either.

I did think about going full Horus Heresy and do something Legion themed with the Mark 4 Tactical Squad but first off, I probably shouldn't sink any more money into miniatures that might find their only place to be Horus Heresy games some day soon (and nobody plays HH around me) and second, the most roman-y legions are Imperial Fists and Ultramarines and I've got Ultramarines already, so I'm good there. Fists with their yellow never appealed to me that much.

So I'm essentially still trying to find out if me and T'au are a good match. Or if Skitarii can somehow be made to hold Autoguns :)

There's a lot to consider so taking your time is no bad thing, don't forget the AdMech are ripe for kitbashing too so it depends how much you want to play. Codex schemes aren't necessary either, I only paint my own schemes for example :P It sounds like you might need to think about some complementary colours or maybe colour theory, but there's plenty of help with colour schemes to be had on the B&C especially in the Forge :tu:
