Infiltrators or incursors for an armored core list

I'm rebuilding my wolves with a primaris core and a heavy vehicle focus, as I have 2 executioners and a healthy pool of tanks to add. My opponents will likely be mostly Blood Angels and Necrons. I already have some intercessors for objectives. We are planning on doing a crusade campaign to ease back into playing and give people time to build up to larger lists so not terribly worried about heavy hitters out the gate will probably bring the repulsors in after we expand the crusades.

Infiltrators would be deep strike denial on the BA for sure, I'm not sure what the necrons will have that I want that denial aura for.

Incursors for a forward deployment to tag a pesky unit in cover and still threaten in melee more of a pressure unit to make them react while I manuver for midboard.

I'm new to the primaris game so not sure if I'm using them to the best their abilities provide.

I use Infiltrators with my BA and Salamanders to give me pockets to deep strike and move up aggressors and dreads. But these new points and smaller boards and use being SW with heroic intervention..they dont seem as valuable. For the salamanders I always promote the phobos captain to a chapter master and give the infiltrators comms to Reroll all hits.

You can still take the Phobos Wolf Lord who has a scrambler and can take Lord of Deceit to redeploy your phobos marines right before the first turn starts. The incursors with their aim bot wall hacks ignore every modifier and negate cover save. Plus they can grab an objective or screen important units plus drop mines.

I actually like using them more for control and countering. Since they're not really strong in hth I wait until a buffing character can get close and then they eat overwatch

I think ruleswise for us, Incursors are generally slightly better as they can chuck out an inordinate number of attacks with their knives, which plays well with our Chapter bonuses. The guns for both aren't great, though Infliltrators auto wound on 6's to hit is, IMO, better.

There's also the advantage of Inflitrating onto an objective and then denying the ability to Deepstrike nearby which is very handy.

All that having been said, though, I think I'm still inclined to still with Intercessors as the core Primaris troops option. Which isn't really what you asked!

It is all good core troops will be intercessors and a unit of "old guard" greyhunters cause I'm fluffing this as a combined taskforce to see how the new guys fight so old marine units are there as advisors/observers and to let me use some minis I really like how the paint came out.

The phobos units are in my mind to act as a forward element while the rest of myguys get into position or advance.

For the sake of the thread, why do you want variant troops?

What are your intended missions / objectives to fulfill on the table?

Basically, how do you wield the Troops portion of your army?

Mostly to get a feel for them as wolves I havent played wolves outside of the heresy since 6th edition. I will probably focus them down to two options once I get a better idea of how they would fit with my playstyle. Long term I want to trim it down to intercessors and one other troop choice.
