Remember when people didn’t think the Executioner could transport ?

 

 

This never happened because the first time we saw it was Warhammer Fest 2019 when it was previewed with direct reference to its transport capacity.

Nope when it was first previewed a lot of people seemed offended to suggest it might have transport.

I don't really know what to say to that. It was previewed as a transport lol

It was literally the second thing they mentioned about it in the reveal video.

Can't really help it if folks didn't realize it would transport after it was announced as a transport. All I remember was the discussions about what "modest transport size" meant.

The relevance to this thread is that while the Executioner was presented to us as a transport on day 1, this one has not.

Of course, never say never...but I fear if you're hoping for it you're likely to be disappointed.

Yes and nothing in that thread suggests that people were taking umbrage with any suggestions about it being a transport - the only thing that had people scratching their heads was the unusual number of potential passengers.

I think it is about wounds. Rhino transports 10, Impulsor 12. Land Raider Crusader 16, Repulsor 20; Land Raider 10, Repulsor-Executioner 12.

I kinda think Primaris count as 1.5 models (Bulky-lite); A LR Crusader has room for 16, /1.5 = 10.67 rounded down to 10 for the Repulsor. A LR/rhino carries 10, /1.5 = 6.67 rounded down to 6 for the Executioner and Impulsor...
By that logic I would expect Primaris drop pods to carry 6 too...

 

 

We're probably overthinking the specifics. Suffice to say, my guess is that between model design and rules, the design team won't be able to justify a light transport carrying 20 wounds worth of models. And yeah, I agree that a Primaris drop pod for the game would carry six.

You were trying to make a point there, and I believe I pointed out that nobody really thought that the Repulsor couldn't transport because they outright told us it could when it was officially revealed. 

 

What you just quoted is somebody saying that they feel it shouldn't transport, not that it couldn't transport. Doesn't support at all what you said.
