Indomitus Promotional Markers - Are mine messed up?

So I've only just got round to the rest of the Indomitus box today, being somewhat distracted by shiny new miniatures, and after looking at the promotional objective markers I'm not sure if I've got a dodgy batch or not. So I'm hoping some frater here will be able to assist. I've taken a photo of what I've pulled out of the material bag and put it below:

So the top of the counter doesn't feel like acrylic - it isn't smooth like the other side. It may be some sort of protective layer, but I can't see any edge that I can get my fingernails underneath to pull up (plus I'm worried I may end up wrecking them if they're mean to be like that). I've had other recent acrylic counters from GW, notably the measuring guide that was in the Lumineth box that are similar in construction, but they've all been as expected straight out of the packet. There's no instructions with them suggesting there's anything I need to do to them, and so I'm a bit at a loss.

For those other frater who were able to get these, and who have received their orders already, did yours look like this? For reference, this is the picture from the GW webstore as to what they should look like.

I'm planning a visit to my local store on Tuesday, so might take them in then to see what they say. But any input you guys have would be appreciated.

Cheers!

I was once transferred to an office that for years had a black and blue microwave till I peeled off the blue protective film and everyone realized it was black and chrome.

Really should have decided to order early so I could be having fun like you all :(

Try stopping by your Gw store of you have one. I missed out on the preorder blitz but on launch day my stor had like 15 and was giving the preorder bonus stuff to everyone who bought a box that day.

Looking at mine, I'm not sure that surface will hold up over time though with scratches. Also my coin has some light scratches on the bare metal, I don't think that would be mint for grading purposes (I don't think I would bother though to be fair.)
