What's the best fun full Primaris Blood Angels list I can make for a battle company?
For me what makes us Blood Angels is the way we fight, not necessarily the units or weapons we use. Despite our character we do follow the Codex and our battle companies do rely on primarily on battleline units, we are not Khorne Berserkers...
So, let's give 9th edition points & detachments a try...

So what is all that? Is that Blood Angels? Yes it is!
Let me start saying I hate the looks of the open-topped Impulsor and I already had the big tanks, I might as well give them a try...
No Assault Intercessors? For a small points difference the Bladeguard only have 1 less wound from a 5-man As.Interc. squad, with better weapons and protection.
The Eradicators are a must now. Their assault weapons are complimented by further assault weapons from Inceptors (move-advance-shoot) which now have the blast rule. These are also a distraction, to draw some enemy fire away from the tanks.
The tanks' plan is to move 10" on the first turn while carrying the Captain, Librarian, Bladeguard and Intercessors, while Mephiston (being a fast walker) will accompany them trying to use a Shield of Sanguinius. On 2nd turn I be hopefully close enough to disembark everyone 3" in front of the vehicles and charge along with Meph. The Captain gets the Icon of the Angel to re-roll charges for units within 3".
Why use Intercessors instead of the new assault ones? If I play this right, upon disembarking the squads will be within half range of their Auto Bolt rifles, enter Boltstorm stratagem, ergo 30 auto hits at Tactical doctrine... so, kill something and charge something else! I could even use a CP to make them veterans.
Normally an Ancient would be in this list but I opted for something more offensive in the form of a Librarian, the best defence is an offense, right?
I could spend more CPs to put Artificer armour on the Captain (!) and perhaps Adamantine matle on the Librarian...
After the first move at 10" the Executioner will continue moving slowly to use the Aquilon optics.
The Infiltrators and Eliminators are in the list for obvious reasons (objectives). So is Mephiston (beatstick).
What do you think? Crazy enough to work?
