Small update: still chewing away at my hordes of intercessors. Got five more riflemen completed, and an officer (captain or lieutenant depending on the list).

Finished up my Bladeguard Lieutenant. I've got 5 more just like him for an actual Bladeguard squad.

And I re-jiggered some of my old flexo-arm dreads with some nice 3d printed arms and gun to be a bit closer to the "big robot marine" goal I was originally going for.. This fellow will be a contemptor with multimelta.

Not sure if I've said this before in this thread, but even if so, it's still true. Love these models! The vision, execution, painting, even photography—all amazing!

It looks like you've done a conversion I was considering too and used the Palanite Subjugator shields. If someone weren't looking for a big conversion effort, how easily compatible are those arms and/or shields with Intercessors?

Suggestion for future models with bayonet-equipped weapons: mount the bayonet as far forward as possible, so the wielder has greater reach when the bayonet is used for thrusting attacks, and the gun barrel won't prevent the blade from cutting deeply when the bayonet is used for slashing attacks.

Your works are otherwise excellent. Why is the Bladeguard LT wielding a cattle prod-like weapon, which looks non-lethal? Was he ordered to capture an enemy leader for interrogation?

Good notes, but it's a big chainsaw and not at all suited to thrusting attacks in the first place. I envision he just wants up to something and grinds into it like a cement saw. By the time said something reaches the meltabarrels above the saw, it's already been shredded apart. Add some pseudo-science power-field to say that the sawblades force the material to the side in a wide wedge. I also wanted to keep the gun short as it was already getting to an unwieldy huge size, even for a big murderbot.

To fit the techy aesthetics of this chapter, all my powerswords are ad-mech taser goads (swords looked too anachronistic). The only thing from keeping a cattle prod from being lethal is the amperage.

I figure it floats along with some kind of repulsor engine, though slithering along on it's legs would also be extra creepy as it's just slapping dead marines back together.

The body (and a couple of the arms) are from Bombshell minis, the place I got my bubblehelmets from. I just threw it into an order and it was chilling in a bitsbox for a long while.

I replaced the arms with assorted mechadentrite bits because while the resin this thing is cast from is pretty flexible and durable, the stock legs and arms are just waaaay too fragile.

Finished up a squad of Recon Marines to use as Incursors or Infiltrators. Was nice to change up the colour scheme a little bit and the phobos armour in genuinely cool.

Here's a comparison between the grey recon and the standard line infantry. It's subtle, but I think it goes a long way to differentiating the two.

Again, excellent work. Did you already create Reiver analogues, or do you consider them of little use in-game? I also wonder if it's possible to make bubble helmets enclosing skulls, so the Reivers look like this:

(FYI, it's the Kojima Productions logo.)
