Haven't seen this mentioned and just noticed it on the main GW page. Link
Interesting that it includes the Nurgle Terminators, where there isn't a "difficult to build" () equivalent kit ...
++EDIT: Nope, there is one.

Well, that makes it actually impossible to get a Lord of Contagion outside of making your own or scouring Ebay.
Hopefully the teased model has something to do about fixing that, but that one has a Spewer, so it doesn't feel like he's a Lord of Contagion. Or any of the currently unavailable units, for that matter.
At least the Poxwalkers and Blight-hauler are staying. Retiring those would've been just shameful.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'll be very surprised if the Dark Imperium kits aren't turned into Start Collecting(!)s like the 1e Age of Sigmar stuff did.
I genuinely did not expect the ETB stuff to get the chop though. It's not as if Intercessors and Redemptors aren't still staples of their lists? But then maybe that's the point, get people to buy the more expensive, full kits.

The ETB Redemptor Dread will be a huge loss. The full kit can be soul-crushing to build, with so many parts in the kit that require tidying and assembly that have little-to-no flexibility or variation to the ETB kit - which has less than a dozen pieces. I might even pick some of them up.

While I liked posing the legs and even other things to a limited degree, it was DEFINITELY a laborous build & paint process. Took me at least a combined 30 hours. Been contemplating a Redemptor for my Templar force too, so maybe I should look at the ETB one before it's gone from independents... though I do have some ideas that would require that posability. Bah.

The nurgle terminators have blight lords as full kit...
Hence the correcting edit (apologies if it wasn't clear
) My nurgly knowledge clearly wasn't up to snuff ...
I dont feel the ETB Redemptor as a loss.
I Just build the normal one Last week and it was some great Hobbytime.
And you cant use the Pop goes the Monkey Upgrades on the ETB Dread.
I had planned to get one but ended up with the standard kits due to a weird trade. I had so much trouble putting the legs together correctly. Such a frustrating kit.
I do wish I had already gotten the ETB agressors last year when I could get them for less than 30usd a box. The price is far too high now over ebay.
Says they are sold out in the US. now.
Oh well, my loss.

Only problem I had with mine is it only came with 2 weapon options for one arm and 2 minor options for the other arm...anyone else have that issue
I Chapter Master 454, Chapter Master of the Angels of Justice, Warboss of WAAAGH Gubskul, Commander of a Catachan Regiment, Phaeron of a Tomb World, Shas'O to a Cadre and Princeps of a lance of House Taranis hereby pledge that I will not take up any further models til all other prior have been fully built and painted to tabletop standards. There is no time limit for this task, there is no deadline. My oath is to solemnly complete the armies I have now, to see it that they can have their glory. Paint will be stripped from the old in need, thick may it be like ceramite I will see it removed so that plastic and metal alike may see light of new paint. Models yet to be, boxed and in darkness will be assembled with due care and attention. For this task I am permitted to still buy the supplies needed to do my task but not one model more.

Loss of the Death Guard alternate sculpts is a shame, specifically the Plague Marines (never cared for the ETB Termies honestly). The Redemptor though, eh. Sure it's cheaper and, well, easier to build, but it isn't nearly as nice looking as the proper kit. Not as bad as the AOBR Dreadnought mind you.
I come here to discuss and find out about Warhammer 40,000 with people of every ethnicity, sexuality, country and yes, as sickening as it is, even Eldar players.

Makes sense, these feel like old kits and were on offer in conquest.

Yeah having built 3 Redemptors, I can’t report of similar issues putting them together.
I work out side and am loosing feeling in my finger tips, it's hard to explain. I drop parts all the time now days, my hands just don't seem to work right these days.
A few of my friends have also had difficulty building them because of the way the hips are put together.
New ETB/ push together is way better than it used to be.

It doesn't seem they're getting rid of the whole existing ETB range - Poxwalkers and Myphitic Blight Haulers are still available, just as well, they're the only way to get those models.Plastic ETB going OOP is a bad precedent.
I am a bit gutted that the dreadnought is going, it's so much easier to build than the proper one I built.
Like Brother Adelard says you can buy it still from Hachette in the uk, I just ordered two for thirty two quid with free shipping for use later on.
Issues 24 and 25 and they still have easy fit Aggressors.
