Star map generator for campaign

Hi everyone,

for a new campaign that I am looking to start with my playing group, I am looking for a fitting map generator.I have worked with different online map g enerators for fantasy settings but still haven't found a useful tool for campaign maps in space.

Does anyone have a good recommendation?

For reference, I could imagine something like the image below:

The map design from the board game Forbidden Stars is also a possible direction.

I used that to generate the map for my sci-fi campaign. It’s very customizable and has ways to allow your players to access parts of it online from home themselves.

Astrosynthesis has a ton of features and options, but you do need to pay for it. It even creates 3D maps! (https://www.nbos.com/products/astrosynthesis/system-generator). Cosmographer is another good one, and even allows you to do deck plans! Also paid, however. (https://www.profantasy.com/products/cos3.asp).
