Salamanders and primaris

so, how did the sallies take to the primaris, and would full companies be primaris now? Or would it still be a mix of old and new marines?

Lore-wise they fully accepted Primaris and were happy to receive it. I have no idea if any companies are fully Primaris or not... but you can always say they are for your army if that's what you want. Time is irrelevant now thanks to Warp shenanigans.

yeah the melta thing makes me wonder what other surprise rules changes may be happening in the codex.  They deleted power of the machine spirit after saying it'd do something different in 9th.  I'm starting to suspect it'll be back in the new marine 'dex, where it'll to do that "something different," whatever that is; and GW maybe just deleted it to avoid spoilers.

 

Also my melta devs are very happy to not be completely outclassed by eradicators thanks to this.   

 

 

as to the OP, the demographic proportions and distribution of primaris in the salamanders doesn't seem to be specified anywhere. so if you want a full primaris company, feel free to do that.  If you want a mixed company, do that; and if you're doing a mixed company, then how many of the squads are primaris is up to you.
