First ever Blood Angels list.

After impulse buying Indomitas and looking at the pile of left over conquest sprues I decided it was new army time at minimum further cost. I’m sticking exclusively to primaris and scouts to make use of the pile of shame I’ve amassed, despite meaning that I miss out on the best and chapter specific units. Quickly threw together the following list from what I have plus 2 impulsors that I’ll pick up.

Could this list work, really in a more casual game setting with the occasional ‘that guy’ appearing?

I’m looking at putting the Veritas Vitae onto either the chaplain or ancient, and tempted to run the Bladeguard ancient as a standard primaris one as the Bladeguard version cannot carry the Standard of Sacrifice. I’ve also held back the last few points to upgrade one of the assault Intercessor sgt to carry a power fist when they get the option to that I’m certain they will (he’s built with it so...).

If you have the model, a Librarian Dread vs Mephiston is a 27 point decrease for the same level of general efficiency on damage and survivability.....

 

I'd drop the Bladeguard Ancient entirely in favor of a Judiciar (if you have it) - Judiciar is a character and heavy infantry killer who can support your Bladeguard Ancients.

 

Primaris Chaplain can be a good choice. His second Litany is....?
