interesting, if they're also similar points, then making them 2 wounds makes sense! I wonder if perhaps they'll be 2 attacks base too

Battle Sisters and Celestians are the same PL cost too, as much as i like the system i wouldnt take it as in any way a reliable measure on that scale 
Especially as Tactical Marines have a broad range of expensive heavy and special weapons to boost the PL over Intercessors.
Oh and especially because those PL's are for the current statline, not an improved one that would be in a new Codex, with a new PL.

Tacticals the same power cost as Intercessors, so 2 wounds seems very likely.
Keep in mind that power level includes potential upgrades, so that's a 75-125 Tacs vs 100-122 Intercessors at 5 man and 150-210 Tacs vs 200-222 Ints at 10 man. Not that far off if you assume both squads are going to take some upgrades.

PL for matched play the only influence is how many CP to put units in reserve .
Or take them out of "reserves", with daemonic summoning.

This. There is no chance first born are going to be upgrade to 2 wounds.
EDIT: I just saw that terminators are going up to 3 wounds. I might need to eat humble pie soon.
