I love this series.

The amount of research and tought you put in every video is refreshing and appreciated.

Can't wait for you to continue :)

Thank you for your kind words, The_Bloody! To be honest I am disappointed with the low number of views so far for the man-hours this took, but feedback like this is what keeps me going.

I added it to my YT lists. I will search for opportunities to link it in reddit and such.

Much appreciated. I gave up Reddit - too much toxicity in my opinion.

Started on it yesterday but had to take a train then. Will watch it monday.

Hope you like it when you do, buddy!

As for further research. Alfonso Giraldes / Banshee wrote about his time at GW / FW in his book and why he left after a year.

That's very interesting - got any quotes? A little bit pricey for my purposes...

I'm giving it a listen and watch right now.

Excellent video, I really enjoyed seeing the style and the history of it all.

Thank you kindly, WrathOfTheLion!

I wont quote directly from the book, as i think those who are interested in Alfonso Giraldes life and thoughts should buy it.

But i rephrase what he said in that book about his time at GW.

It came down to artistic freedom and restrictions from the side of GW.

As GW gives rather strict restrictions to their artists to keep in the artistic style that developed along the decades the sculptors couldnt develop new ideas / concepts etc.

So he felt to restricted to develop as an artist and wasnt willing to extend his contract.

I have met some other artist in other fields and mostly they are mostly free spirits that struggle with a restricted job / work schedule etc. so its understandable.

Thanks, guys! We were at it for an hour, so you'll need some snacks...:p

I learned a lot, and if you are passionate about the Heresy, Forgeworld, or the style of painting these guys created, this is really fascinating.

On the negative side, I must sound like a complete idiot in the recording, because I was like a giddy teenager. :p
