We are the pride of death! A Legio Pallidus Mor log

I've been interested in Titanicus since it came out, and lockdown has given me a bit of a chance to work on a battlegroup.

I've liked the Pale Riders since I read their novel. I also like that they're only partly described, so there's lots of space to individualise the army.

I'm hoping to do an Axiom Maniple first of all, and see where I go from there.

However, I've given them with a clinical eye. If any of these are right for your Legio's story, disregard me and go for it!

I'm thinking some of:

Traits:
Fury of the Fallen (fire twice at the price of taking catastrophic damage) - Fun flavor, but very risky. Could be very expensive for that second shot.
Duty and Honour (use Adaptive Tactics every turn) - This one is solid. Take it.

Strats:
Enduring Gods (emergency repair without a command check) - How often are you really going to be able to use Emergency Repairs? Depends a little on your preferred tactics.
Reactionary Fire (overwatch for titans) - Again. This might be useful for a "sit back and shoot" Legio, but less so for an aggressive one.

Gear:
Macro Charges (increase small blast to big blast) - Again, solid. Take it.
Fusion Missiles (specialists in siege warfare, can give fusion trait to missile launchers) - Decent for Warlords, not quite so great on others.
Gravitonic Stabilisers (mostly immune to quake and concussive, but can't use power to locomotors) - This is another one that's just too situational for me for the points. If someone in your group loves Quake Cannons...

Thank you, it's useful to get a feel for what might actually work in the game, I've not played much.

I think I'm probably going to try this set:

Fury of the Fallen (too much flavour not to use)

Duty and Honour

Reactionary Fire

Fusion Missiles

I'm aiming for a mid-range shooting sort of thing.

Looks like some solid choices!

Looking forward to hearing how they work in practice for you.

(Just for the record, my choices for Legio Lupos were about 50% story-related and 50% game effect)
