The 12 shot weapon is the twin assault cannon, actually.

The Redeemer looks potentially very good. Its problem was always that it could be tied up in melee but that's much less of an issue now. One of these things, potentially full of Salamander TH/SS Terminators, could well be a useful option in future. I'm quite tempted to run one with my Fists, perhaps as a ride for Pedro.

There are an awful lot of Firstborn units that could be worth transporting, such as vanguard vets and all the various kinds of terminators. Good Land Raiders would make a lot of other units better.

Oh, so it is. I keep getting these symbols confused.
Double bullet is Rapid Fire
Explosion is Heavy
Arrow is Assault
Hope it helps

However these boxes datasheets are a mess of wrong stats

I've been thinking the same thing about Land Raiders. It's time for me to dust mine off and use it! I only wish I would have ponied-up and purchased a Prometheus while it was available. I'll just have to convert one now.

I mean, there's really nothing to get disappointed about from this particular datasheet. Multi-Meltas are going to 2 shots - it was already announced. Heavy Bolters are going to 2 damage. Power swords are gaining a point of Str. Flamers are getting a range increase. Marines are seeing wound increases. I honestly don't think there is anything else we can glean from any of these unless we started seeing data sheets for the bespoke weapons unique to specific units, but the vast majority of those are not being repackaged.

I'm considering a Prometheus conversion. I'm going to wait and see if it goes to Legends before I start cutting anything up though.

In any case, the Redeemer's capacity of 12 is very useful. The Prometheus is killier - especially for my Fists - but the Redeemer can carry 10 guys and 2 characters.

There are one or two units still outstanding, like Reivers. I'm curious to see if they've found a way to make them not terrible. Maybe we'll start to see official previews on WHC before too long.

Stats stay the same and strange that they didn't put any Weapon stats on the small cards?

hm. cause its a fixed loadout, perhaps? or because they only have a pistol, IIRC

oh. might not be worth their time to do the mini shots of the weapon, with its profile listed on the cards, if the goal was to cut down on paper use.  cause it'd make the card have an extra insert just for the weapon profiles.

Even if he doesn't have different weapon options you would still need the stats for his pistols or are pistols not included on these sheets?

well, my guess is that they probably left the pistols off because you'd buy other models with the same wargear, and just look at the stats there.  Or, if all the blister-pack models that have a single loadout get released this way, then it shows they're only showing wargear stats on kits where you have weapon options to choose from in the kit, so you can choose which loadout to assemble with.

I know when i first started in 5th edition, it was always annoying having to look through the codex before i assembled a new kit for myself, to see which weapons to outfit them with.  But having their profiles in the assembly manual helps with that.  even though the special rules are missing, knowing the basic stats of a weapon from an army you never played before helps you choose what variant to assemble, without having to open the codex every time.

But, if you're building a primaris apothecary, or captain, or chaplain, etc, these character kits always come with a single loadout in the blister.  So you don't need to know wargear stats, because you dont get the choice of what they get when you build them.

Converters etc, are an exception, but new players who have little to no experience swaping bits and making quality conversions, or even knowing that particular model they bought for cool factor has an alternate loadout in the codex, probably doesn't need to know that when assembling what might be their first model.

where on the opposite side, stuff like veteran squads, or aggressors, where you have variants in the wargear in the kit, you need to make an informed decision on which weapons to take. so having the basic weapon stats in the manual helps with that.

this is all my own conjecture, though. but i feel its a logical explanation why the character blister doesnt list his wargear stats.  We'll know better if another one is released and does the same thing.

apothecary has a unique pistol and an absolver pistol iirc. the absolver is only available on him and the chaplain. The other one is unique, the kit comes with both

Macro plasma damage base was 2

Heavy Laser Destroyer damage was changed to D3+3

No, but I do not think it will be the end.

Middle sounds about right.

Really interested to see what the release schedule is for the new supplements. Hopefully they are prompt about it, but that may not be the case.

It's interesting if the macro plasma incinerator goes to base damage 2. It's arguably what the gun needs. However it does make it an extremely powerful weapon now, especially for Fists. 2D6 shots doing 4 damage each against vehicles on turn one has the potential to do an awful lot of harm. The repulsor executioner looks like it'll be a very serious threat in this edition. Maybe I'll paint mine after all.

I’m curious how long it will take to bring out the various supplements like BA, DA et al. If the don’t bring them out soonish after the main codex, they’ll have to have some sort of PDF document to cover things like Death Coy, RW DW, Wolf Guard and such. Also I wonder if they’re going to have some sort of mechanism for creating successor chapters of BA, DA and SW. Also I would love to see those chapters get access to the CM stratagem, and others like it, so that you can have a CM or chief librarian for chapters like Blood Drinkers and Angels of Absolution. Something else I think would be cool, but not likely to see would be Watch Station specialisations for Death Watch, basically it would be there equivalent of chapter tactics.

I do find it hilarious that some people were saying the size of newer marine stuff looks great next to regular humans like Cadians, and then GW upsized the humans so they are the same height as marines again
