I am certainly getting a box of these guys - some of the heads and poses are wonderful. Very glad, also, that my Power Fist Indomitus kitbash is a legal option.

With he confirmation that the sergeant can take weapon upgrades, these guys will now cement themselves as a solid push-threat in any list, but will particularly shine in assault-centric chapters like White Scars, Blood Angels, and Black Templars.
Being able to toss out both -1 AP shooting and melee attacks that will become -2 in turn 3+ from an Intercessor body is just great for that specific job, and now that the squad can act as ablative wounds for a power fist or a thunder hammer they can threaten heavier things in addition to infantry.

Ah, very true, keep forgetting that - stupid needing to unlearn game structure. The company role isn't the same as the Force Org role. It's been separated multiple times. Otherwise Aggressors would be Heavy Support, Reivers and Incursors would be Fast Attack.

Glad I also did like many others have and only built 5 ETB. Can do some kit bashing with this now.

I like the guy in the middle of doing a ‘speed’ tactical reload.
Made my day to see that guy. Particularly after seeing the Heavy Intercessor doing the "GW standard awkward firing hand reload".

The sword is the standard crossguard style like amulius has and we've seen in countless older kits. The real question is does it have a skull or a gem.

looks more like the style of the bladeguard/lieutenants like the one from wake the dead to me... even has the rivets on either side

doubt it, in an image of one of the pages from the codex we see a DA Assault Intercessor with a similar sword arm.Could be a conversion I hope.
It shouldn't be too difficult to snip the blade + crossguard off and replace it with a different one, though.

Yep that will be the plan.

well i guess i dont need to scour ebay for power weapon bits to use on Intercessors anymore. Glad that the kit includes all weapon options for them.
Power Weapon bits are easy, Grey Knights are the best source for Swords, Relic Blades, Axes (use the halbards), and Thunderhammers. At mist price points you can more cheaply buy a single Grey Knight box than power weapons.

There was never any mention of jump packs and tbh it’s not like they need it.

I beg to differ, I continue to believe these guys are competitively unplayable without a delivery vehicle and an Impulsor just doesn't seem to cut it with only 6 models capacity. Some chapters love them but for vanilla I think they're just the opposite side of the Assault Marines trap.

Nah. The boards are smaller in 9th, and the objectives push units from both sides towards each other.
These guys would see combat even if they were walking from their own deployment.
