In 8th I don't think he broke the legion traits, just some of his abilities simply didn't effect the legion he was working with. I was wanting to make a big chaos lord in termy armor using Abby's rules for my NightLords but if he is locked now, then it kind becomes a moot point Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BluejayJunior Posted October 9, 2020 Share Posted October 9, 2020 In 8th, unless he was in a solely Black Legion detachment, he would break Legion Traits for the detachment he was in. You only get Legion Traits if every unit in the detachment has the same Legion keyword. That works the same in both 8th and 9th. BluejayJunior Posted October 9, 2020 Share Posted October 9, 2020 Guilliman didn't have that rule either (Ghaz and Shadowsun ony got it in Psychic Awakening, I think), but Guilliman could be taken in a super heavy auxiliary detachment since he was a LoW, so it wouldn't break the detachment abilities of the rest of the army.
