Gridiron = Blood Bowl

Glory = Warcry or Underworlds

Nothing related to 40K (not even smaller games like AT, KT, NM, AI)

I'd politely point out it would be really odd for them not to have at least one of 40k, AoS or HH going by the previous pattern.

They wouldnt announce it for something as small as just two specialist games (and even just two of the mainline games would be a bit of a stretch going by past events), at the very least they'd throw in some of the other small ones.

There will be some 40k. If there wasn't going to be any, they'd mention that in advance, which is what they've done before for the last one of these online previews that didn't feature much 40k. Keep expectations low, as per usual, but there will doubtless be something for us to peek at

The new necromantic team for blood bowl is halloween themed. They'd be missing a trick by not releasing that in the preview.

Is there any 40k stuff they could tie into Halloween?

Warcry isn't a "specialist game" though, but yeah I imagine at least single models or a sense of future events from AOS and 40k will be present - as well as potentially some BL things too, as has happened in past previews (such as Guy talking about Avenging Son).

But I think we have to admit 30k is not a main game anymore (if it ever really was) - but just another FW/SG-studio specialist game :( I do wonder if Blood Bowl and Necromunda and Titanicus each make more money than mainline 30k sadly currently does, although this being the release year of Book 9 and several good kits might mean that is not the case. Further, Custodes, termites, contemptors and leviathans certainly have been popular too in 40k, but I'm not sure I would class them as 30k then.

Cinema itself is a trick of time — still pictures passed through a focused beam of light at 24 frames per second. We are reminded of that in La Jetée...

Horus Heresy has done really well with all its recent kit releases. Kits like the Sabre tank, etc. that have no 40k rules sold out for a long time. 2019 was a very strong year for releases with that, they've just been oddly quiet this year.

However, they have only 4-5 kits left in their release backlog, which they've been delaying for almost two months now, The Deathwing Companions, the Contekar, Saul Tarvitz and the WB Praetors. That's probably only 3 weeks of releases, once they start getting them out. So we can reason they'll likely reveal something for HH.

I think it will mostly be focused on the FW/Specialist games, such as Horus Heresy, Titanicus, Necromunda, Blood Bowl etc., with one thing for 40k, kind of like the reveals about 6 months ago during PA with Fabius Bile, Illuminor Szeras and those such things.

Specialist games as a whole wildly outsold AoD for a while, though that was during the time it was being a bit neglected by FW, id expect it to have levelled out as bigger than any one game but not hugely so.

Tbh it would be nice to have the systems a bit streamlined or at least clarified, i mean you have the big two 40k and AoS, then boxed games covering Kill team, Quest, Warcry and Underworlds, (Except sometimes they are part of the Warhammer or 40k studios?) Then specialist games covering Titanicus, Necromunda, Blood bowl and Aeronautica (Except sometimes these are also called boxed games...) and then Lord of the Rings and Age of Darkness who have their own teams and float outside those systems a bit for licensing and historical reasons.

Of course most of the time it doesn't matter, except some times it does :D

They usually do a Christmas model, I wonder if we'll see that soon.

I'm still hoping out for a Watcher in the Dark with a funny hat to happen one year.

Based on the wording I'd expect zero 40k. To state "there will be" when it's not guaranteed and hinted it won't be is just setting expectations too high.

Expecting literally nothing for 40k wouldn't be Ott.

The Void Dragon and Monolith models are simply fantastic.

I'm putting my Black Legion on hold, and will focus on Necrons as my next army. The new models are simply stunning.

As for the Preview Show, I expect very little 40k, but a teaser for some future models is always a possibility.

I actually like the bunker model, but it's priced so darn high (points wise).

I'll probably buy one, and it would look very cool on a thematic tabletop.

I'm hoping that MP Assault Intercessors and Bladeguard will be up for pre-order in a couple weeks. The gladiator and stormspeeder don't interest me as much.

I'm hyped for the techmarine though.

Probably getting the Techmarine, I was very anti-Primaris before but all of the models since Indomitus have been really fantastic and thematically resonant with the Firstborn so I'm really buying in.

Now if only the vehicles didnt make me violently recoil, I'd be pleased. Not a critique as to their appearance but their vehicles just function in a way that is really counterintuitive to how I learned to (and like) playing Astartes.

Call me crazy but I think we might hear something about SW and BA, since we know they are coming in Nov and Warcom likes to show models with at least a month to spare. And lets be honest here, they already have a backlog ongoing between both new armies that it is going to take at least until early Nov to clear the 40k stuff alone.

Bladeguard, Heavy Inters, Erads, Assault Inters, Gladiators, Storm Speeders, Crypteks, etc. That stuff is a fair few weeks worth of releases already.

Even without new models for either chapter, they'd at least like to highlight the Supplements and this is pretty much their last chance to do so if they are sticking to their usual pattern.

I'll take that bet. GW aren't idiots, they're not going to market a "mega preview" that has literally no 40k in it without letting people know in advance. The usual crowd would lose their collective marbles. As I've said numerous times on this topic, in the past they have warned people when there would be little to no 40k in an online preview

I reckon it's going to have some of everything, like the first previews did.

I never said that there'd be a lot of 40k, let alone that 40k would be a headline act, just that we can expect something unless they say otherwise. It could be anything from a codex release date to an animation to a soft toy, I don't know. I'm hardly guilty of raising expectations here - as I said above, keep expectations low, but expect something until/unless GW says "no 40k in this preview".
