Who can take what

Indefragable

Recommended Posts

So I did the subscription to the warhammer app to check it out, and without getting too opinionated, it’s a :cuss mess. Specifically, Datasheets say a Dominion Superior can take weapons from the Ranged Weapons list...but nowhere in the app is there a section for “Adepta Sororitas Ranged Weapons.” They have the stats fir each weapon under the (shocking) “Weapons” section, but there’s no equivalent to the page in codex that lists “Ranged” Weapons or “Melee” weapons etc...

Deductive reasoning and experience gives me a pretty good idea of what counts here, but I’m baffled at the fact that the app’s version of the “codex” does provide a direct answer.

TL;DR: what weapon options can Dominion Superiors take?

Instead of Boltgun, 1 weapon from Ranged Weapons list (combi flamer/melta/plasma, condemnor boltgun)

Instead of Bolt Pistol, 1 weapon from Pistols list (hand flamer, inferno pistol, plasma pistol)

Additionally have 1 weapon from Melee list (chainsword, power maul, power sword)

Thanks. That’s pretty standard for all units, right?

No app is ever going to be a substitute for having the actual codex in hand.  It is like a calculator, after addition and subtraction, if you don't know how to do the math you'll get the answer wrong at least 50% of the time.

Battlescribe has about 20 years on the GW app.  Unsubscribe for now and check back in a year.  We'll have 15-20 codexs by then, more than likely the list builder, and they will have polished off the rough edges.

Battlescribe is far more accurate than any printed codex. Faqs and erratas start day 1. Sad but true

The only people that make that claim are ones that don't have the codex.

Buy your codex!!!!

Find other places to cut corners in this hobby.  But don't cut them on the rules.  Go halves on a codex with a friend, one of you take the physical book the other take the digitial.
