Grey Knight Banisher

Yeah its most likely FW renaming the Voltimer-Pattern. Would be great to see it get updated rules to fit in with Ritual of the Damned/Our Future Codex. Maybe access to tides? FnP vs mortal wounds? Who knows! Could be a reason to convert a turret to a psycannon, we'll see!

So the cost for this unit is 285pts.

Since there is no points cost listed for its Twin Psycannon, does that mean they're already included as part of the 285pts?

Also, since they now have 2 Heavy Incinerators (also points not listed in the new book), are they part of the 285pts? Or do we add the cost of 2 Heavy Incinerators which is 40pts on top of the 285 points?

Looks like the recent FAQ for the Banisher datasheet has the ADEPTUS ASTARTES keyword removed for SANCTIC ASTARTES.

Thoughts for the reasoning?

I'm assuming GW is shifting Grey Knights to be more and more their own unique, Codex army. That is, to eliminate any say unintentional Stratagem mixing between Codex SM and the eventual Codex GK. This would also mean a SM army cannot just soup with a GKs detachment and keep their standard Combat Doctrines anymore. Since, the common SM keyword is no longer there.

Possibly for similar reasons to why Death Guard got their own new BUBONIC ASTARTES keyword, and Thousand Sons getting ARCANA ASTARTES.

So far, I'm thinking it's kinda cool!

I think you've hit the nail on the head there, I believe it's more to about restrictions than anything else. Exactly as you eluded to.

Tangentially relate to this, I wonder whether the SANCTIC ASTARTES keyword will partially replace the PSYKER keyword in the Abhor the Witch strategem, therefore indirectly buffing us, and nerfing the strategem. Unfortunately, due to that change, we will be ineligible for other proper astartes secondaries such as Oaths of Moment and the other two.

I think your right which is good. We shod be separate and should operate completely different. On a battle field we have little to nothing in common with regular space marines both ability and mission objectives why and its nice that it might be represented on the table top.

Nah the Psyker keyword is universal rule, that won't be changed.

The second point is exactly why they are removing us from the generic astartes pool. So that we cannot draw from their resources. Eg. Relics, Stratagems, etc etc.

Removing us from the Adeptus Astartes may be a great thing. They can make our mono faction Grey Knights good and flavorful without strange interactions that overpower one faction or the other.
