Saadjor Posted November 9, 2020 Share Posted November 9, 2020 Okay so the FW Legends have dropped and as expected Lord Arkos is in it. Looking at him I wonder if he is not better than before: He has 6 attacks with his blade and besides his unique aura he now also has the standard Chaos Lord aura. All his other rules have stayed the same and he clocks in at 120 points. Any thoughts fellow harrowmasters? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He could've received all the new wound/attacks of 9th era astartes (that CSM are due for with our 9th codex) All in could be a sign or things to come. I'm curious about the heretic militarum stuff in the book... it was pretty abysmal in 8th but still useful as allied ordinance and hordes for Chaos (and Disciples and Marauders were decent). (Brother Tyler has added the Legends link to the recourse thread at the top of the subforum.) Arkos has not received an extra wound, but the Firstborn Astartes characters in the new SM codex did not either. I meant more that Arkos now has 2 aura's: His unique one (+1 advance and charge) and the standard Chaos Lord one. Upon further inspection FW has given all their characters the BRB Inspiring leader Warlord trait. So that is a bit of a bummer... Brom MKIV Posted November 11, 2020 Share Posted November 11, 2020 (edited) Lord Arkos is a straight upgrade and has replaced my current lord equivalent. Reroll 1s is huge for him plus -1 to hit in combat now too. If that wasn't enough his +1 to adv and charge now effects alpha legion not just the faithless so he can facilitate DS assaults. Add to that faceless Commander. He is a complete and potent enabler. My current list features 9 plasma terminators, 2x5 plasma chosen, 2x5 berzerkers and 9 csm with chainswords among other things. Arkos is brilliant in this shell. Best of all he's locked with these rules now so non tournament matched play I can bank on his rules not changing.
