Considering what just went down on the narrative front of AoS, the "decadence" part is probably AoS related. And I'm not complaining.
SLAANESH LIVES!
More Slaanesh in AoS bodes well for Slaanesh in 40k, and we all know that when it comes to She-who-thirsts, too much is never enough.

Surprised to see Guard again. Haven't they had three Battleforces now? Same with Tau.
Decadence is definitely referring to AoS Slaanesh Mortals.
Not sure how many battleforces in total for guard, but they had nothing in either 2018 or 2019, although Tau did appear several times lately.
2019 BF
Chaos Space Marines Vengeance Warband
Drukhari Poisonblade Raiding Party
Blood Angels Crimson Spear Strike Force
Tyranids Bioswarm
Space Wolves Talons of Morkai
T’au Empire Starclaimer Hunter Cadre
2018 BF
Craftworlds
Death Guard
Necrons
Imperial Fists
Space Marines (generic ones)
Adeptus Mechanicus
2017 BF
GSC
Tau
Guard
Orks

Yeah this is the third Tau battleforce in 4 years, plus the Apocalypse themed one. They sell like hot cakes, so it's not surprising they keep making them.
This is the second Guard one if I recall correctly, plus the Apocalypse one as well.

Getting weird how long we have waited for the space marine kits. I'm starting to think they might release them as an expensive battleforce box to get you to buy the whole release wave.
Considering they've still not fulfilled some pre orders on the necron and marine stuff released already it's not too surprising. They'll release the new stuff as single kits no doubt, it'll just be staggered as previously stated. BA book [Dec], DA book [Jan] and kill team [Jan] [flayed ones vs assault intercessors]

Price comparison:
40k:
Tau:
1x T'au Empire Commander, £35.5
3x XV8 Crisis Battlesuit Team, £45
1x XV88 Broadside Battlesuit, £32.5
1x TX4 Piranha, £22.5
10x Fire Warriors, £30
10x Pathfinder Team, £25
Total: £190.5
For comparison last Tau box is £157.5 which retailed for £100
Astra Militarum:
1x Hydra, £35
1x Chimera, £30
1x Sentinel, £22.5
5x Cadian Command Squad, £22.5
3x Cadian Heavy Weapon Squad, £25
20x Cadian Shock Troops, £45 (21 shown but you can only get them in multiples of 5 so has to be 20)
Total: £180
For comparison last Guard box is £187.5 which retailed for £100
Or the Cadian Defense Force still available: £157.5 which for £110
AOS:
Gitz:
1x Dankhold Troggoth, £40
6x Rockgut Troggoths, £70
15x Squig Hoppers, £45 (Thought there are only 14 shown in the image but the sprues are in multiples of 5 so it has to be 15)
1x Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig, £22.5
Total: £177.5
Ogors:
1x Ogor Mawtribes Tyrant, £20
1x Ironblaster, £22.5
12x Ogor Gluttons, £60
4x Ironguts, £25
4x Leadbelchers, £25
1x Mancrusher Gargant, £37.5
Total: £190
Compared to last years Gitz box:
1x Mangler Squigs, £50
3x Rockgut Troggoths, £35
1x Loonboss, £17.5
10x Squig Hoppers, £30
5x Fanatics, £25
Total: £157.5 which retailed for £110
So either the discount is way bigger (not likely) or the Battleforces will be way more expensive this year

Thanks for the breakdown!
Prices went up slightly last June. Most of the Guard kits were £2.50 cheaper and the Chimera was £5 cheaper, for a total of £15 less.
The Tau one as well has the Piranha and Pathfinders that were £2.50 cheaper, for a total of £5 less.
It doesn't change much the estimate though.
Assuming a similar % discount over RRP of the individual kits inside, I'd guess they'll cost between £120-130 RRP. Last year they were either £110 or £100 each.

All prices I used except the old retail prices of course are the current prices so the discount was actually bigger in the old boxes then shown in my post but it still is about right to expect them to be around £125 this year

The Cadian battleforce is ok as a way to start IG, otherwise I dont think it adds a lot for people that already have IG. I hope the other battleforces are also shown.
I dont play Slaanesh or EC but I do enjoy the aesthetic so fingers crossed for some cool announcements.

Also, I told my friend I’d eat a mini if we didn’t get either a bone reaper or sisters battleforce; so I have ulterior motives for wanting them to hurry up and show the rest.

Where the Heck are the Multi-part Eradicators, BGV and Heavy Intercessors....... the gladiator that's what I'd like to know.........
Wait for the BA and DA supplements. Done
I don't think they are waiting for the BA or DA supplements...... they didn't release any of the new kits with the Wolf or DW supplements so its unlikely they will do so with the others supplements...

What is the typical cost of these battle force boxes? What’s the discount % over buying them individually?
Prices for last years boxes averaged between 170 and 200 usd, with savings over purchasing at msrp of between 70 and 100 dollars

I'm hoping we're close enough to January now that GW just tells us what the dex releases are instead of vague hints.

I am fatigued of complaining about HH support at this point.
Literally 1 FW kit over 3 months after book 9 dropped, it'sing humiliating the level of support.
Dude, pandemic.
I've still not received necron or marine pre orders.
Heresy had slowed down anyways, Covid has really slowed it down further. patience

Even when on top form the Moritat took over a year to arrive from being seen.

super stoked about the Death Guard book. I don't play the faction, but it will give us HUGE insights into how they are going to treat Daemon Primarchs in addition to the standard CSM units that Death Guard have access too (Helbrute)

Okay, the pandemic is NOT an excuse in this case.
As Skimask said, the Contekar Counter is now up to 13 weeks since Crusade until we can actually own them. I genuinely doubt we'll see them on pre-order before December, MAYBE in December.
Night Lords Contekar Terminators were revealed in The Road to Thramas – Part 3: Terror Troops, on February 3, 2020. This was the 3D model render.
Then in Warhammer Preview Online: Shadow, Iron & Broken Realms on August 22, 2020 we have painted models of them.
Book Nine: Crusade was released on September 4th, 2020
Since the reveal, and release of Crusade, we've had SEVERAL models ALL FROM FORGE WORLD, revealed and released.
And we can't even use the "Well, Covid" excuse because since then we've had:
- Several Necromunda Hired Guns
- Multiple Blood Bowl Star Players
- Adeptus Titanicus Mechanicus Knights
- Aeronautica Imperialis models (including Battlefield Assets)
All revealed and released before the Contekar Terminators were released.

I think people need to chill out a bit. It'll happen when it happens. Tarvitz hasn't been released either and was shown ages ago.
It is what it is and I'm sure we've all got plenty backlog to be on with.
