Bazza Posted November 22, 2020 Share Posted November 22, 2020 I recently split an Indomidus box with my son and turned the primaris marines into loyalist Sons of Horus. This kicked off a whole head-cannon of an alternate heresy, which I'm now extending into a chaos faction. In this heresy it was the Lion who became Warmaster and hence the arch-traitor. After his death they become the White Legion. I did up a Berserker as a test model, with white armour, going with dark green for weapons. Upon reflection I decided to skip the green; 30k era Dark Angels were black and red, green was a post heresy thing. I updated the berserker with black weapons and red accents. I have a WIP Terminator with this newer scheme. Also went with a chapter symbol which is a derivation of the Dark Angels symbol, echoing what happened with the Sons of Horus -> Black Legion iconography shift. Also working on a Daemon Prince - Holguin the Desecrator, bearer of the Veridian Blade. I knew I wanted to use that model but I was trying to think of things to make him look less Age of Sigmar-ey. The wings are going to be jump pack engines and then I can start painting him up. A few more new things for the sons of the arch-traitor. First, added another berserker to my slowly growing horde. This guy is pretty old now, and lived in my bits box for ages. Son: Why is he missing half his armour? Me: Well, he worships Chaos, that necessarily means poor life choices. Son: Like losing your shoes? Me: I guess so. I'm not a fan of the stock schemes for nurgle these days, they end up looking fairly cartoony. This one went really well and I'm looking forward to the rest of the squad, but now I kinda want to do up an army like this, which wasn't in the plan ... Also made up some cards to make it easier to manage information playing the game. These are for my Crusade army, so there are various upgrades already worked in, but I think I'm going to make some of these up for all my armies.
