Uploading straight from mobile?

Recommended Posts

I don't know about the mobile skin, but switching to desktop view (scroll all the way to the bottom of the mobile skin) will allow you to upload pics normally.

That does work, but it is quite fiddly to do once you’re on mobile and trying to use this site in full mode.

I find it’s easier to use a third party picture storage site (I use Imgur, many others are available), then just copy the link to the jpg, and paste it in between img tags. Make sure there are no spaces before or trailing the link. Job done.

If you have a discord account, I find it convenient to take pictures on my mobile device, then post the image to a private server so someone else is hosting it. Then, I just copy the image link and paste it in the [ img ] [/ img] tags (no spaces). That tends to work well and so long as I don't mess the tags up, with much less hassle than uploading.

Its not quite straight from mobile but on both android and iphone i've uploaded my pictures from a phone connected to my computer with a charging cable. If thats an option for you i recommend it!

I tried this for a while before I downloaded Discord on mobile, and unfortunately I always found this a clunky mechanism, and requires the external hardware of a desktop/laptop, which I doubt Inquisitor_Lensoven is looking for if they want to do direct upload.

It's a bit tedious but it is the best way I've found. I've had too many third party sites disallow linking to risk that again - photobucket, TinyPic both did it. So native gallery for me from now on.
