Reiver LT in Impulser with Bladeguard, and Chapter Champion with Vanguard Vet squad in drop pod. Impulser can use Lucifer-Pattern Engines strat to auto advance 21”. Jump pack storm shield vets are push threats/tarpits. Incursors, and tactical squad start on objectives, tactical squad can use Hellfire Rounds strat. Eradicaters delete major threats. The Librarian Dreadnought hunts characters, vehicles, and monsters, Gift of Foresight gives a reroll a to hit, to wound, and a reroll on an armor save each turn, and when Quickening is active on the charge he has 7-9 S13 -3AP 3 dmg attacks, and one S9 AP-3 D3+3 dmg attack, with Wings of Sanguinius active he’s moving 18” a turn. Trim a few off and use the spare points to upgrade the remainder from Chainsword to Lightning claw. The reroll to wound makes the Lighting claw more points-efficient than the Chainsword, even against chaff. As soon as you face anything with a decent armour save, the Lightning Claw becomes the clear winner.Yeah I do love lightning claws over chainswords, though I reasoned I have the Lib dread, Eradicaters, and even Blade Guard can kill tough units. If I did add lightning claws to all jump vets, I’d probably just switch the Lib dread for a chaplain and toss him in the drop pod.
