The year is almost out, and many a model has been painted this year, including most recently a tiny, ridiculously detailed Thunderhawk.

A very big Thank You to Grotsmasha for running this all year long and for a third year in a row, and by the looks of it with a fourth year coming.

It has been an interesting year seeing everybody else project, both random one offs and larger works, so many models and so much creativity. :smile.:

Sadly I have failed to complete my plodding along vow, with 15 sisters and two tanks only partially painted (though some 20 odd (I think) where finished in their entirety this year). Progress is progress and I will take it for what it is. See you all round next year.

My completions in 2021:

I can definitely say that I managed to paint that many models and with such quality mainly thanks to this Challenge and the awesome community engaged in it!

36 models, 1851pts according to current values. I could say that's it's not as many as I would like, but I won't. I'm simply glad and looking forward to painting with you guys some more!
Cheers!

December Summary

....and that's a wrap laddies and gents, 12 Months of Hobby for 2021 is complete with style, all 18 participants for December completed at least 1 model, leaving no one earning the Next Month badge for December. With several Plodding Along vows coming in for years end, together we completed 211 models.

Compared to previous years, I have streamlined awarding the Badges a little, and have begun adding Badges in the first post of each Month as they are earned. Please feel free to add them to your Signatures as you see them appear each month.

- the 3rd time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Black to Bronze, available from March

- the 6th time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Bronze to Silver, available from June

- the 9th time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Silver to Gold, available from September

- if you manage to earn a Badge for all 12 Months of the Challenge, it will upgrade to Platinum

The Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Badges are in a separate Post below.

I may be showing a little faction bias here, but the stand-out completion for this month is Dwango's Plodding Along completion of Lion El Jonson, Lord of the 1st.

Thanks Grotsmasha and everyone for the huge motivation, this challenge has been a blast and I'll enter 2022's without hesitation! For 2021 I was planning on mostly focusing on my chaos Skavens, but as you can see I ended up working a lot more on my Necrons. We'll see what 2022 brings to the table!

I have a few ongoing projects for 2022, including a Skaven KoS being developed with the help of my 5YO daughter. She insisted that it would look more serious with more arms, so i had to oblige :)

My 2021 vows, aside from 5 Immortals and 5 Deathmarks that I forgot. Really got a lot done this year, mainly due to this thread keeping my feet to the fire. Looking forward to 22!

Here's a shot of my Hobby Challenge Class of 2021. This year, I wasn't as productive as I was in lockdown-fueled 2020, but still wasn't bad. In addition to the pledges I completed, I finished off my Primaris Imperial Fists army (no Primaris remain in the Pile o' Opportunity!), did a bunch of work on a friend's Space Wolves, finished off the Beast Snaggas in the Ork Forum challenge and even did a tiny bit of mumblemumbleSigmarStuffandEldarmumblemumble.

Many thanks to Grotsmasha for running the challenge. It's a pile of work, and he's an Ace for doing it all for us. On to 2022!

There is so much amazing stuff on this thread! This year marked the start of my Deathwatch army. Based on Battlescribe it comes out to just over 2000 points due to the large number of characters:

Looking forward to painting more.

Congrats to everyone who pulled off painting a ton of great miniatures this year, good luck in 2022!
