Who is your favorite Table Top Tactics Host?

In terms of personalities/passion for the game/style of presenation, all of them...

Games however... Anyone but Spider. Lawrence is just too damn good at the game and seems to be blessed by truly incredible luck, so games involving him against anyone else get boring quickly as he systematically pummels them into the ground. If TTT had another person on the team with the same skill level/luck as Lawrence, games between them would probably be the best on the channel.

Bone. Rockstar of the group.

The thing about Spider and Beard - they're very talented and always have been. Nothing wrong with that, would enjoy playing against either of them.

But Bone evolves. Have watched his playing skills improve, mistakes lessen, ability to articulate reasons for a list sharpen, and drop some weight over time. His comedic blow ups speak to emotions we've all felt and there's fewer over time.

He sets an example all players can learn from.

The first time I came across it and saw Bone I was like golly gee and it almost put me off the channel. How wrong I was. He just cracks me up and it's a shame he's moved onto pastures new. I'm also a big fan of Beard and the Spider. The latter as I really like his coaching. For someone who doesn't play 40k often it really helps understand games and tactics more easily.

Beard is not consumed with winning which I applaud. Bone he always wanted to win too much which put me off. Chef has great analysis of the game and stopped whining which I greatly appreciate. Kate is a fantastic new edition to the team and an excellent choice. Winning is easy for Spyder and he is a good person too.

I am really disappointed about their Black Templar BR. It was without any love and not even a Templar relic in it. It was just a normal Marine Army with Chapter master and a gunline.

Tabletop Titans was even worse… they don’t really understand nor can do it any real justice.

I mean...it was the first time picked up a Marine army. How chapter-thematic was your list in your first game with the army?

I think people were expecting more from a professional battle report channel though. Not blaming Katie (think that is her name?) for knowing very little about the army as a first-time Black Templars player. She was doing her best but obviously had very little time to prepare and learn.

At first I found Bone annoying, but overtime grew to like him. Probably Chef and Spider are my two favourites. Chef seems to be pretty fun around. Intellectually, I can always rely on the Spider for a competitive perspective, which every 40k game I play.

Bone was definitely my favorite, may he rest in peace.

After that I think I like Beard best, followed by Spyder.  I like beard when he does his Orky voice.  Chef rubs me the wrong way.

Jinx, as the newcomer has great personality and energy but knows jack about the game still.  That would be fine except it's called "table top tactics", I think most people come for a competitive bat rep.  I find myself mostly disappointed in her batreps because I know she's going to lose.  She'll be good in time though, hopefully.

Thanks for all the replies! hard to believe this thread is still going a year later!

Terrible news of his passing.

When I heard he was leaving TT, I assumed it was to move to another job and we'd someday see him again.

Bone was honestly inspiring. Over the years, he lost weight, improved as a player, and got his temper under control. He didn't have the natural charisma of some of the other presenters, this man had to work for it. And he made it work, I would often start my Saturdays with Freeview.

Battle reports begin and end with a video. With Bone, we saw a life in progress. Never occurred to me the weight loss was related to his health, or that we were watching a lesson in courage.

Losing him is quite a blow. Carry on.

I know he's from Australia. Is there family to whom we can send condolences?

I'm pretty certain the "rest in peace" was a joke...

Bone is definitely still alive and well and posted on his instagram yesterday: https://www.instagram.com/the_bbone/
