First List, 1k and 2k White Scars

So I am working on putting together my first army, and I figured I should start with 1k and add to it. Here is the 1k:

I am not sure which litanies and wargear to put on the chaplain, nor am I 100% sure white scars is the best chapter. My strategy would be to have the chaplain and outriders run up the board first and kill what they can/ possibly take some objectives, while the rest of the force slogs up.

I am less sold on this one. I know that souping knights is not the best competitive option, but I have the models, and I would like to do so in a way that would not be completely terrible. Is there any way to improve on this?), and still keep the three knights? I also want to stick to primaris units only. Thanks!
