WHQ: Cursed City as 40k Conversion Fodder?

Recommended Posts

Okay, we've only seen the grave keeper and the witch hunter, but I could see both in 40k; the witch hunter is a great Hereticus  inquisitor and the grave digger could work as a cultist of some kind. I don't know what the other antagonists will be- although it sounds like there was possible vampirism here too- there was a line about the citizens of the town being harvested. These would synergize with the dire chasm vamps. I could see them being converted with DE or Daemonette head/ arm swaps for unique heralds or dracons (remember them?).

I didn't even convert the Mistweaver and Shard from Silver Tower but they fit in fine as a Warlock and Succubus respectively... So... yes, probably, but it looks like there may be more opportunities from this for sure.

'A cultist of some kind' is how I ended up with cultist mobs of basically 2x25 Beastmen, Goliaths (including stimmers and forgeborn), Orlocks, Iron Golems, Savage Beasts, the Grymwatch, Corvus Kabal, Flesheater Cults, random Catachans, Blackstone traitors, Blackstone cultists... So a word of warning: respect the depths.

In other words, I am definitely hoping for new Renegades and Heretics opportunities in either the next CSM codex as a 'shadow faction' (one unit entry per Battlefield Role, not Core, not allowed to outnumber Heretic Astartes units) or indeed get a proper Lost and the Damned codex (far less likely). The horde is approaching the size that I almost start considering GSC rules... until I remember that I already have a GSC army...

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.

Cultists from anemic ghoul-zombies with coffin-lids on their back? That's what the silhouettes in the video look like and Gorslav is standing on one coming out of the ground.
