Wishlist for new units for custodes

So, when we get our new codex in 9:ed, do you think we will get any new units and in such case, what would you like it to be?

I think our custodes will be one of the later ones as several armies need an update much quicker then us. But I would love to get some new plastic unit, not from FW but from GW. I wish for some kind of tank or cheaper transport. Also a flyer would be very intersting, like a small jetfighter or soemthing similiar.

Of course I also want other things from our codex, like making sisters better or troops in our book, but that´s another discussion. But what do you other people want for the custodes if you would get something new?

What I would like to see:

- Ephoroi. Assassination unit of 3 models, equipped with invisible field or something alike, -1 to be hit, double meridian swords, heroic intervention of 6 against characters, outflank

- Eyes of the Emperor. Elite support character, gives buff / debuff as player choice

- Ares terminator. Bodyguard elite terminator unit equipped with flame sword and storm shield. Near immortal but expensive.

- Small jetfighter, equipped with antitank weapons (what we lack most if we don't play forgeworld)

I’m not holding my breath for new models, but some things I think it would be cool to see:

1. A non-FW Transport that’s not a land raider. Something cool and uniquely custodes that doesn’t cost an organ or two

2. Perhaps overlapping with #1, some kind of flyer

3. Eyes of the emperor. I didn’t know I wanted this until ApulianAbaddon said it, but now it’s been said it really want it

I know they’re not technically custodes, but I think it would be great for the sisters of silence to get a few more toys too

If the new dex restores Talons, I want enough SoS stuff that it's possible to field SoS independently- minimally an HQ choice and a Troops choice.

Don't get me wrong; I want Custodes fans to be able to field all the SoS models as Talons too; I just want to be able to field a real detachment of them. The Null Maiden Vanguard rule is better than nothing. But only slightly better than nothing.

A heavy version of sagittarum with devastating adrathic guns.

Not the puny half strength melta weirdness that we have currently. Something from dark age of technology that makes people say yikes when they hear the profile. Like wraith guard level cannons.

Or a heavy version of terminators same as above.

Our elites slot is jammed packed and our troops are super thin so troop sisters would be swell.

As Talons is pretty inevitable at this point mostly after the same as ThePenitentOne, enough stuff to let Sisters standalone! There is a thread on new Sisters units already, but in the context of a Talons codex:

1. A dual build flyer with a Custode and Sisters option, some blend of transport/gunship they have a bunch of names seeded already.

2. Letting Sisters ride in the Land Raiders would be nice too ;)

A Custodes version of a devastator squad with long range heavy weapons. Preferably weird stuff from 30k/DAOT that Valoris has ordered to be taken from the vaults.

More Sisters of Silence choices, at the very least an HQ (I don't remember off the top of my head but Regent's Shadow introduced the current Knight Commander appointed by Guilliman) but I'd like to see the current Vigilator/Prosecutors/Witchseekers moved to troops and the addition of some small elite squads, so that you can easily spread them across a Custodes force.

If it wouldn't be too much to ask I would really like if the Sisters got some kind of durability buff cause my Sisters are always the first part of my army shot off the board. There's no reason for them to get more wounds but maybe an invul save (they're rolling with the Custodes, they can probably get a few hundred refractor field generators) or a negative hit modifier (from their enemies not wanting to look at them or being distracted by their aura) or a rule like "Look Out Sir" that allows Custodes to protect nearby Sisters and encourage running a complete Talons army.

Custodes Apothecaries - I know that Custodes aren't space marines, but they still would need some sort of apothecary to fix serious wounds, and to put people into dreadnoughts.

I know this is a wish list thread and I respect that... I just can't get behind the idea of a Custodes going around and babying other Custode from a lore perspective.

I feel like MOST armies have some sort of apothecary type, and for marines especially that really fits since they fight as units, having each member fulfill unique roles in a squad is super reasonable. For Custodes that's just not a thing. Stand alone, together.

On contrare, there has been instance of a Custodes apothecary in lore, called Ukende. It was in the book: Watchers' of the Throne, the Regent's Shadows. Also, from the lore perspective, if each Custodian is a masterpiece and great costs were used to make sure that person sucessfully turns into a Custodian, why wouldn't they still try to keep them alive at all costs? Admittedly, when you put it like that, and specifically the term babysitting, it doesn't exactly look glamorous (pun not intended), but gameplay wise, it would be a nice option to have. I could even get behind a 6+ FNP that works for all damage, and for every phase (not just the psychic one).

1) in several of the Watchers of the Throne novels (and some of the inquisition ones) it mentions a small flyer - seems like a skiff/light gunship. This would fill a good gap between a large gunship and the infantry/hover tank FA options and is established in fluff

2) Eyes of the Emperor - single model that deploys like an Assassin, performs CP shenanigans +/- debuff enemies at range

3) a model for a Captain-Commander with spear/axe options and unique baroque looking armour

4) PLEASE make spears worth taking
