Specialist Mobs in 9th?

With Rumours in the machine about a codex on the horizon (im not sold on this) ive been looking into my orks again. 

 

Evil Sunz and Deathskulls seems to be the flavor of most Ork bat reps I've seen lately, that is from the few you see due to the upsurge in reps featuring the newest codex releases. 

 

I can understand the need for either extra movement or extra re rolls to improve our efficiency. 

 

Ive been perusing Saga of the Beast while its still valid and came across the Specialist Mob section. 

 

Im looking at Wildboys as something that could give a nice advantage to getting more Boys into melee range by being able to pile in 6" and being able to guarantee a much higher advance distance by rolling 3 dice and discarding 2. 

 

Has anyone else used Specilist mobs in 9th? Or indeed 8th and had good synergies and success?
