Simple Green still work well for acrylics on plastic?

Recommended Posts

I've got some Isopropyl Alcohol in the house, how long would I soak 3 eradicators in it, fully submerged I'm assuming?

I responded to your message, but I'll copy it here for people to see.

Short answer? As long as you want.

Proper answer? You can start working almost immediately, but the longer it soaks the more effective it is. I've managed to strip a model in 5-15 minutes but it's a little more work.

It's actually easier to give it five to ten minutes, quick scrub, and then put it back in. The iso can then work on loosening the paint underneath, which makes it easier to remove.

You also don't have to worry about over-soaking. I've got pieces that have been sat in my tub for about 8 months - the paint just slides off now, but the plastic isn't weakened, brittle or in any way damaged.

Hope that helps. =]

I forgot to add though - the more pure the better, like the guide says. The lower the number on the bottle the more work it'll be.
