Shadrak's Legio Gryphonicus

Recommended Posts

Very nice, it is an impressive force! I love the glow effect in particular and also the bases.

I suspect you might have ran into some trouble with the legs on both the Warlords and Reavers. The left leg of the first Warlord looks funny, it makes me think you have put the back of the leg's lower part at the front instead. For the Reavers, the first one has left and right feet inverted and it looks like you have put the front toe armour at the back. These are quite common mistakes and don't detract from the overall results you achieved, so please don't hate me for pointing this out. Since you have tons more planned, I think it is better to check and avoid repeating the same mistakes on the next ones.

I did post a few tips and tricks in my project log, here are some of the most relevant, there are more scattered across my various posts:

Other project logs also have interesting tips and tricks, don't hesitate to make use of our collective experience.

I would also drill the barrels on the laser blasters and turbo laser destructors like you did on the Reaver's gatling blaster. I advice the use of a 1mm diameter drill bit to perfectly center the initial drill.

Eager to see your next steps!

Thank you for all the points and tips, the warlord leg is a bit messed up yes, first titan I built. And the reaver pistons were a just me being nonchelant when putting it together :whistling:

I mainly drilled out solid round weapons, but I've considered doing it in the future on energy weapons as well.

Ended up actually quite liking the subtle differences on the reaver legs :teehee:

Love the trees on the bases, and how you've worked the basing materials onto the feet and lower legs.

Something you could still consider adding if you like, would be some smaller undergrowth under and around the trees. It would help the terrain of the base flow together better, and doing it in a mix of green and brown/tan would blend the base colors nicely.

Thank you, I've considered doing the same, but I'm awaiting some tanks to add unto the bases. So after i put those on I'll see how much more I can add without overcrowding the bases.

That’s an impressive lot of Titans.

Thanks for sharing.

Dallo

Thank you for the kind words.

Awesome stuff mate. I especially like the natural tones you've used on the bases and on the Titans themselves, they look very realistic. The trees are massive though!

Has the Warlord with the Claw got his shins on backwards or am I going cross eyed? ..... Or shall I shut up?

Thanks, It's the thigh, not the shin :happy.:

Oooo.

That's a very cool looking head. Off one of the Knight kits, is it?

Yes exactly, it's from the Cerastus Atrapos Knight from Forge World.

I really didn't fancy the standard heads for it, so I started looking for heads before it came out.
