Indomitor Kill Teams

I see a lot of people putting their Eradicators into Indomitor Kill Teams. Does anyone use Aggressors anymore? I was thinking Aggressor Indomitor Kill Teams would be better for taking the middle with character support such as the Dominus Aegis and Fortified with Contempt. Preferring to teleport my Eradicators down behind them when the time is right. Anyone else go this way or is it just Eradicators & Stalker Bolter Incessors for days when playing Primaris Death Watch?

I'm currently playing an Indomitor KT with 4 boltstorm Aggressor and 1 Inceptor. Heavy Intercessor are equipped with the assault variant of the rifle.

The overall feedback is extremily good, they are strong with the beacon angelis and with the chappy that cast +1 wounds on them and with the Imperial Fist trait they can deal an enormous amount of pain. Usually this is a trick I use in the second turn, when other treat enter the battlefield (usually 2 sqauds of Plasmaceptors, a Captain with JP and sometimes 3 eradicator).

They are an expensive unit, not that though compared with terminators, but the modelling part of them is amazing...

Do you find it easier to play some of the Primaris units outside of the Kill Teams (ie teams of 3 Erads, Inceptors, Aggressors etc) - do you take them in the same detachment as your KT's or make another?

Since you only get 3 models to a box when buying the heavier Primaris units, you're often left with 3 models or 6 models and I keep wondering if it's worth putting only 3 in a Kill Team if that's all you have versus making a new unit.  Same goes if you have 6 models, do you put 4-5 in the KT, or make one or two individual units instead?

With the boxes containing 3 models and KT's needing from 1 to 5, I keep questioning whether it's worth making them as units or kill teams if you only have 3 models or .

Yeah- the team of 3 thing drives me nuts.

I had 3 Aggressors from the Tooth and Claw box sitting on sprues collecting dust because I really had no interest in Marines. Deathwatch never felt like Marines to me- I associate them with the Ordo Xenos... So fielding an Indomitor team allowed me to use models I already had....

Except I only had 3, which means no combat squads.

The same Tooth and Claw set gave me 5 Intercessors... Nice foundation for a Fortis team. But if I want to finish it off with Outriders (and I do), that's more than the cost of a start collecting box cuz 3 to a box. And Outriders in Fortis teams REALLY need to combat squad in order to get the most out of them. At least Aggressors can travel with Heavy Intercessors without either party being denied their special rules if you don't have enough models to field 5.

Bikes do have a three to a box precedent, so it doesn't feel as bad... But Oldmarine bikes were also $50 CAD per box instead of $70- it's like a reverse deal where you get 3 boxes for the price of 4.

Either way, I will have my combat squaded Fortis and Indomitor teams. I went out and bought the Aggressors I need to round out the combat squad, as well as an extra upgrade sprue- I'm pretty sure Gravis Armour requires Terminator sized shoulder pads, and you only get 2 of those per sprue. Once the HI's drop as a separates box, I'll need 2 more upgrade sprues. I'm going to have so many power armour sized DW shoulder pads by the time this army is done I'll be tempted to buy extra Proteus teams just to use the pads. Seriously- that's 50 power armour pads- I had only planned on a single Proteus team, but with all those pads, I might add a second or even a third.

If I did, that would make the army more than 50% oldmarine, which is the feel I was going for...

Sorry to ramble.

Usually I play only one single detachment, a Battalion.

Despite the restriction on the Xeno Hunter doctrines flexibility when used on multiple detachements, I think that it is too expensive on CP

Deathwatch have a great selection of stratagems and relics and this can enables some great synergies or strategies.

Usually I play with a core built around two KT, the first is the above mentioned Indomitor, the second is a Fortis KT with 5 Hellbalsters.

Chapter Champion with Aegis and 2 Redemptors with macroplasma complete a solid center for the army.

This let me reserve 2 Inceptor units and an Eradicator one (every units is formed by 3 members) in Deep Strike, together with a JP Captain.

This give me flexibility and a good firepower to settle where the battle is tougher. Everyone that experienced a unit of 3 Inceptor with plasma knows really well the incredibile amount of firepower they can unleash. Moreover with the Captain bearing the trait that let units in 6" complete an action and still shoot they can also complete "deply scramblers" in  single turn.
