Do you miss it?

 

I was in the habit of always carrying an extra DP and Spawn around, just in case. Recently I was reorganizing my bag and realized I don’t have to anymore. Sure, out of all the hundreds and hundreds of games played I did manage to get 3 DPs and 1 Spawn. Most of the time I just rolled some insignificant stat that had no meaning to the game. I still liked the chaotic randomness of potentially getting that DP. I wouldn’t trade any of our new strats with the exception of Blight Bombardment for it, but I still would have liked to seen it.

On the other hand you have a somewhat fluffier more complicated version in the crusade rules now! I’m rather excited about that.

Yeah, I miss it. I thought the system we had was a massive improvement on how it had worked in the past.

Tbh I miss the 3,5 codex way of building daemon princes - stack a lot of buffs on your chaos lord and he becomes a daemon prince.

 

The later version of giving boons after killing enemy charachters was also nice and fluffy.

Like 3.5 ed, Chaos Boons should be a free feature - anything you have to pay a CP for should not have any negative consequences.
