A list I'm thinking about putting together to get used to Grey Knights in 9th. My FLGS is opening up soon and that means I might actually get some games in. This is a combination of things that I have and things that I want to use. I mean, I have all of these but...welll, you'll see.

GK Battalion-

HQ:

Librarian (Warlord: Lore Master) - Stave, Storm Bolter, Purge Soul, Sanctuary, Vortex of Doom, and Sanctic Shard

Chaplain - Intonement of Guidance, Invocation of Focus, Augurium Scrolls, and Edict Imperator

Grand Master Voldus - Armoured Resilience, Empyrean Domination, and Warp Shaping

Troops-

Strike Squad x5 - Sword, Halberd x3, Psycannon, and Gate of Infinity

Strike Squad x5 - Sword, Halberd x3, Psycannon, and Gate of Infinity

Terminator Squad x10 - Hammer, Halberd x4, Sword x3, and Psycannon/Sword x2

Elite-

Apothecary - Stave and Inner Fire

Paladin Ancient - Ethereal Manipulation, Storm Bolter, and Falchion

Paladin Squad x10 - Hammer x2, Stave x4, Psycannon/Hammer, and Psycannon/Halberd x3

Heavy Support-

Purgation Squad x10 - Sword, Halberd x5, Psycannon x4, and Astral Aim

Battle Plan:

Terminators, Characters, and Paladins are the hammer. Purgation squad and strikes are dedicated to getting on objectives and shooting things. Use powers and abilities to enhance things. Profit?

"Frak this, for my faith is a shield proof against your blandishments."
-Book of Cain - Chapter IV, Verse XXI

"I think you really need to be a guard player in order to have that kind of attitude about casualties. My forces were killed to a man for slight strategic gain? All I heard was a buzzing noise until that part about strategic gain."
-Ailarian, Hand of the Kind XXXI

"One unbreakable shield against the coming darkness, One last blade forged in defiance of fate, Let them be my legacy to the galaxy I conquered, And my final gift to the species I failed."

Nice nice, double 10 man brick pretty standard. Bringing 3 hammers is interesting especially considering all your psycannons but I guess it depends on your meta. Also why did you decide to put the Purgations in a 10 man? Cushion?

Excellent list, my dude, I'll have to adopt some elements of it in mind (namely that 10m terminator squad), if that's ok with you? But as with anything, it can be improved upon.

First of all, how do you plan to use those paladins? Are they going to be in deep-strike or on the board? If they are going to be in deep-strike, I'd give the WL to the Paladin Ancient with Augurium and FITF. If not, then that's fine. I also see you decided to copy my paladin squad loadout exactly haha, but what power to they have?

Secondly, I'd change the purgations to purifiers - purifiers can wield 4 weapons, have a 2++ invuln and on top of that make an opponent think twice about charging them with the D6 smite. Of course, change their weapon to a stave. I'm presuming you are going to combat squad them, so with the Librarian knowing sanctuary, you still get two elements for less! Unless you were planning on banking with the preternal senses strategem?

The other thing in this list is that you have 5 characters. The Apothecary is nice, but the least useful out of all of them. Having that many characters will make the opponent double-dip with Assassinate and Abhor the Witch.

I like it! As mentioned above the double brick seems to be doing well, though be careful not to get them caught up in a useless position. I wonder if you shaved off some Hammers, you could get 2x 5 purgators with 4 psiweapons in each, from which you might go more mileage... I feel that many Hammers in a single unit will always be overkill.

As far as characters/Assassinate goes, I wouldn't worry too much about it. These guys can hold their own and being Terminators do take some investment to take out, especially as your opponent needs to get through 20 Termis/Pallys to actually get to them. Depending how well you can protect them, While We Stand on your three HQs could be a fairly straightforward Secondary to achieve. (I picked up on this following the recent GK v Nécrons Art of War, cheeky). Let us know how it goes once you get to try it!!

Sorry woodsman you might be a little out of the loop on secondary changes but wwswf is most expensive units not models now. Also that video is a little old.

Looks fun.

A few tweeks I would make is change the purgation unit to purifiers same points but thanks to the purifiers stratagem more survivable. Next I would move relics around a little. So augarium scrolls on the ancient. And santic shard to the chaplain. Though I can see why the santic shard is on the librarian fishing for super vortex.
If I was to make a bigger change i would take the artisan nullifer on the lib, santic shard on chap and not take scrolls.

As for while we stand it is unit now but the cheeky thing we can do is combat squad. This means so long as 1 of the combat squaded units remain you still get the points

Ah, definitely out of the loop then... didn't realized it had changed along with Bring it Down, Abhor, etc. Still, I wouldn't worry too much about assassinate, if your opponent is taking out your characters there's a fair chance things aren't going too well anyways.
