I think its completely fine converting whatever you want as long as the model is the same overall size. I wouldn't be able to use my wraiths/scorpions regardless though, as they're mounted on much larger bases to accommodate the legs. Which is somewhat annoying considering wraiths always topple over because they're top heavy and they're bases are too small aha. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So finished up 2 more scorpion wraiths. I have 3 more to build and paint whenever I can be bothered again. What's handy is the end of the shooting weapons, fit nicely on the tails if I snip them a little shorter. I was planning on magnetizing them that way to have almost all the weapon options, but couldn't be bothered with tails that flap around lol.
