BrotherAetherick Posted April 18, 2021 Share Posted April 18, 2021 Just wanted to create a topic to post my finished projects for my successor chapter Sanguine Brotherhood. The chapter colours are red with a black left arm. Fluffwise, this was done to remind each space marine of the fate that awaits each of them, the black rage. The chapter was nearly wiped out in the Devastation of Baal and was only saved through the recall of several veterans serving in various Deathwatch watch fortresses and the Primaris reinforcements provided by Guilliman. Unlike most other chapters, the Sanguine Brotherhood chapter insignia is located on the right shoulderpad. Fluffwise, it was to avoid having the chapter's symbol on the arm that represents the inevitable doom each scion of Sanguinius faces. Modelling wise, I did this because back in 8th edition I used to soup Deathwatch and wanted my army to look uniform (the Deathwatch detachment would have the inquisition symbol shoulder pad instead of a company insignia). Modelling wise, there will be a lot of "primarisified" firstborn units as my mini marines are all from 15 years ago when I was a much worse painter, and I can't stand the size of the old marines anymore.
